Agreed. So if the UCI are picking winners that makes no sense as nearly everyone is turning off their number 1 product.

No. Most people who think they are doping won't turn off their tv's anyway. And besides its always been clear that the tdf is aimed primarily at none cycling fans. The ammount of mistakes and idiotic comments journos and commentators get away with is incredible.

Are people really turning off? I think this tour is going to be fascinating for several reasons.

Also Brailsford CS are hilarious.

Didn't they have an interview recently where he said that mountain stages aren't won by minutes anymore which proves cycling is now cleaner.
So what did Froome do today? Winning by minutes lol

One of the guilty pleasures of all of this is watching DB and Sky having to reframe things time after time to fit the performance of their riders

I have not watched a minute of the Tour. I knew the fix was in. The sport became a farce last year. It's not necessarily the doping. It is the wide variation in doping. I think a large percentage of the peloton is now clean. There are riders who have reduced their doping or limited themselves to use during training. Then there are those who are doing full-on like it is 1999. The result is the worst of all possibilities.

I hope you didn't watch cycling in the merckx years then. but seriously if you want equal competition you have to contain or semi-legalise doping, not ban it outright. Something like the 50% rule. As it is now those with the right means to cheat whether it is access to new drugs and or corrupting the uci / aso system will have too much of an advantage. The best example of course was Armstrong and Spanish riders post-99.

I suffered through 5 boring Armstrong Tours, 1 boring Contador Tour and 1 boring Wiggins Tour.

Come to think of it, genuine battles for wins have been kinda rare in the last 20 years

Poor guy :( Whoever forces you to watch the Tour every year must be a really cruel person.

Nah, I am just sad like that. There. :)

What I mean, is that Froome is a joke, but I've seen worse.

Kimmage 'Jesus we,ve seen this before......I,m dumbfounded by it...its not just me....'

He says the organisers of the TDF don't want this either.

Its actually at 26.15mins into the listen again.

Exactly.

It's Prudhomme who'll give the orders to Sky to make it look less ridiculous. We're gonna see some terrible acting from Dawg and the borgs.

I wonder what Contador and Valverde say to each other over a plate of tapas?

"Remember the days when we were allowed to dope hard?"

They reap what they sow. Wonder will ASO release the Sky presentation from last year? Of course they wont. ASO are as dirty as the UCI.
