And they've checked Contador's bike many times. Doesn't mean there's any less speculation about him.

Well as la Gazzetta dello Sport reported yesterday, it has only been through recently being shown by manufacturing agents how the new system works that the UCI is able to detect what until now has confounded previous controls. Only now is the UCI armed with the app. software, which not only detects electromagnetic waves, but also radiant heat. A form of this motorized bicycle has been around for 17 years, according to la Gazzetta.

Mine was a provocation to be sure, but it would be foolish to think one like Froome using this technology is beyond the realm of posibility. In a world of theives, the only sin is stupidity.

Keep up the good work. ;)

Bet most in the sport are thinking the Van Den Driessche's have only been stupid, to get caught!

Froome agrees (on his roommate Duenas 2008):
But Froome understands why the sponsor pulled out. "I think it pushes the message very clearly. It is not just a case of a rider getting banned, but all 20 of your teammates not having a contract for next year and all the staff members – it is a lot more serious offence if you get caught."

Kelly and Cavendish also agree (on Ricco):
Cav: “The sport’s better off without him," Cavendish said in an interview with cyclingnews.com. "He’s not a problem that the sport faces, he is the problem that the sport faces."

Kelly: “It’s a crazy situation, after serving his punishment and to come back so quickly and have the problem again; I just can’t understand it. It is a totally crazy situation; he’s totally crazy. "

Though it's just a marginal prep race Volta Comunitat Valenciana, this is the portrait of a TT beast who just beat the world champion, none other than his colleague Kiri to make it a Sky one-two. Can't wait to see the transformation of Landa.

to be fair, he was always skinny. I doubt he lost much.
copoelsgiro2014.jpg

Seems "he just lost the fat" is not telling the whole story. At least not for Poels.

That Gazzetta report makes the UCI look rather slack. It seems to me that, as a first step when deciding to check for hidden motors, one would research a bit on what kind of systems were out there and how they work. Particularly when the testing organization already has a knowledgeable technological staff charged with approving frames, components, etc. Seems like they would've wanted to make sure to stay more on top of developments than this.

A TT with a 43 km/h average speed for the winner. Hardly a 58x11 drag race.

in that case Kiryenka/Lulu would have finished in front of Poels.
but hey
who cares about the stage profile when Sky is to be bashed

It would be preferred if other teams didn't race so it could be a Sky Super Series. They could race themselves in a never ending race of marginal gains.
