Sorry, my point was that I don't understand what Visma or any of the teams could possibly have objected to being shared.
We agree. Most of the stuff broadcast was motivational sh*t or the customary "get to the front" stuff. Hardly tactical secrets.
I think they are more discreet if it's important. The rest is just for viewer interest and seems to reinforce the basic-knowledge dialogue the commentators share.
It would be interesting to hear rider pushback like in F1 when a car is running poorly or they get cut off by a RedBull Dutchman or Canadian Wanker. Pretty spicy chatting, then. Could get cluttered with 170 guys....

As some of you are discussing the van Aert rumour i thougth it is nice to make a short summary about the 2025 Visma LAB.
According to pcs they have 24 riders under contract for 2025.

Visma has some obvious leaders:

-van Aert for the classics
- Vingegaard for the tour and other big stage races
- Kooij for the sprints

Behind these leaders they have some swiss army knifes and thats probably the biggest strength of this team that they have riders who can shine on various terrains. Jorgensen, van Baarle, Valter and Benoot. As new addition in the swiss army knife team i see Bart Lemmen.

For the mountains they have proven riders like Kelderman and Kuss who can step in a GC role or support Vingegaard very, very long. In addition to them they have Cian, Tulett, Gloag, Staune-Mitett and Nordhagen as talented GC riders or climbing domestiques. And Kruijswijk as old but proven mountain work horse.

The classic/sprint team is completed by riders like Laporte, Hagenes, Brennan and van der Sande.
Riders like Huising, Graat and van Belle i´m not sure where i should place them. Maybe someone can help?

New additions according to the rumours should be Simon Yates - perfect for GC in the Giro or Vuelta and a very good climbing domestique for the Tour.
Thijssen as addition for the sprints and classics.

All in all the team is very well rounded and can play a serious role in every race they want to.
Where do they have some potential? With the departure of the van Dijke brothers they are a little bit short in the classic, roleur typ of rider. So thats what i would aim for. But in the end this team is so good and if they don´t have the same bad luck in injuries like this year, they will challenge UAE again in many races.

Are there more rumours?

If both Teunissen and Campenaerts join the team, and no rider leaves prematurely, then they'll only have 2 spots left on the 2025 roster.

From PCS:

Vermote is rumoured to have been extended: https://www.wielerflits.nl/nieuws/julien-vermote-krijgt-contractverlenging-bij-visma-lease-a-bike/

Tratnik and the Van Dijke twins are rumoured to join RedBull. That leaves Bouwman, Hessmann and Vader to fight for the last spot.

All three are said to leave.

Thanks. Tough luck for Hessmann, also too old to take a year on the U23 team. I guess he will retire then?

how does this work when 45yo wout wants to keep riding and the team are no longer interested?
There are few parallels between Israel Premier Tech and Team Jumbo-Lease a Bike, but this structure reminds me of the Froome disaster. Letting your counterparty decide when he wishes to stop being paid is rarely going to work out well -- even with a rider as quality as Wout.

Niklas Behrens to Visma. After this news I took a deeper look into the new classic squad of Visma.

The van Dijcke brothers and Tratnik are out of the squad. New additions of riders which are capable of the classics are Behrens, Zingle, Campenaerts and Brennan.

First thing that came to my mind when I thought about Visma and classics "they can´t have another horrible season like this with that many injuries and illness".
So a fit van Aert, Laporte and van Baarle is key and will make the squad so much better than this year. With this beeing said, Jorgenson showed his talent in the classics and that he can be a real contender for big results. On top mix it up with the rising classics talent Per Strand Hagenes and you will have a very, very good squad. Zingle can be an outside bet for smaller classic style races or a contender that already showed that he can get results and is a rider which other teams have to worry about.
In case of work horses, domestiques (or even outsiders for some classics) take Benoot, Affini, Campenaert or Lemmen.
And then you can still add two talented guys like Brennan and Behrens and let them learn and develope in smaller races or even in a race like dwaars door vlaanderen if it fits.

In case of the quality of a possible classic squad just two other teams have the possibility to cover this line up: UAE and Trek.
Alpecin does not have the quality across the board to be as good as the other three. They have two outstanding riders and a good team but not as good as Visma, UAE or Trek.

I´m really looking forward two the classic races. I want to see visma back at its best and a UAE and Trek team that also want to win a lot in the spring.

Teunissen likely to be the last man to join the team for next year, he can ride the classics too.
