Haven't seen the match, but what a complete joke of a result.
So what's the reason this time?

Doping cycle wasn't at it's peak yet?
Did some illegal betting on himself?
The usual oh my poor knees bs after crushing everyone in paris?

15th of June in Miami, just a week after the roland garros final she won.

I hope this picture is photoshopped...

Could be steatopygia, so genetic and nothing to do with PEDs.

Very fishy result. Two weeks ago he crushed Ferrer in Paris - his knees can't have suddenly gone bad.

Another fishy result is Sara Errani going out in the first round. Her match was so obvious that she threw it.

Maybe the testers are actually testing at Wimbledon this year.

If David Ferrer goes out in his eary rounds there's deffo sumet going on.

And who is supposed to do this testing?

Because if it's the ATP you can be sure no results will ever leave their office

Could they scare the players into dialing back the level of ridiculousness? And allow tennis to enter a new cleaner era?
Major US networks don't seem to want to broadcast these 5-hr Slam finals in their entirety anymore.

Butbut, isn't it only losers from the first few rounds that get tested normally? :D

Is it just me or are there more retirements and walkovers and defeated Top 10 players at Wimbledon this year than anywhere else ever? I guess WADA sent the same folk over who attended the Jamaican athletics meet in May...

I'm shocked Sam Stosur is still in the draw.

UK Anti-doping would be doing any testing.
Last year in April -June they did 32 IC tests, the majority would be at Wimbledon.

Wonder how many they will do this year...

7 players pulled out today. 7! I would love to know what is going on with testing there this year.

Maybe UKADA got its act together on tennis.

Nadal's 1st round exit was a surprise.

He played though, so he's have been tested if testing was happening.

Nadal has been touched enough by Peurto to have to issue some strong denials. Clearly he has something approaching catastrophic knee damage. What that means, or may mean, is beyond the limits of my expertise.

A catastrophic knee damaged enough to win the French open! Hmmm but not hold the form and exit 1st round at Wimbledon.

Doesn't add up.

As for Fuentes. Only cyclists names were ever released. So his denials mean as much as Armstrongs.

Clay is by a country mile the most forgiving surface on the knees - Grass, buy a similar distance, the least forgiving - the man's knees are just about done, that much is pretty much beyond dispute.

I'm not sure you're right, Sceptic.

But you know what? I'm not sure you're wrong either. and that's real depressing.

I always get a little angsty of making accusations against Williams based on her bikini pics and her big ***. Hints too much for comfort of the hottentot venus and subliminal racism.

But point remains tennis has gotten a free ride; and that has to end.

I'm old enough to remember female tennis players serving at 80 mph, what are some doing now, 130 mph I guess? Is this technique, better training, weights, drugs, a combination?

Never know. Results still have to go to the LTA though right? So they can just carry on ignoring them.

Nadal's exit was a very big shock. And Tsonga gone today...
