Obviously I don't want to out too much, but you probably haven't. I wouldn't have thought that 100% (well so far) would pick him - that said, he's one of the first riders I chose

No, but that situation will almost certainly affect some choices.

1) Some riders who would be good picks currently don't have contracts for next year.

2) If for example Menchov joins Katusha, that will affect riders at that team in terms of leadership etc. at certain races.

Don't understand the reasoning behind your statement, but maybe that's just me.

@ acf everyone has 0. The idea that riders valuing 7500 compared to 7300 last year will socre more is speculation.

Yeah but don't assume others have the same selection criteria as yourself, I can personally say I have very little interest on what the Geox team is offering and thus their fate really doesn't affect my team at all.

And in regards to the leadership, really the only riders whom look to make that effect are menchov and cobo, and maybe a few other little ones. But still it shouldn't affect selection too much, not for some people anyway.

If people's team are unaffected by team changes, why shouldn't send thier team in?

But he could of chosen an additional rider which would of brought the total of his team close to 7500 which means he has an another rider earning points. Don't you basically have to choose riders that will increase their value by at least 1.5x to be in with a fighting chance? Ultimately you want your total to be around the 11 to 12 thousand mark so having more riders to get that target is beneficial.

I could be talking absoulte hogwash but that's my take on it.

I've got a team, not a very good one but got a few of my preferred riders.
33 riders
21 nationalities
7428 total.

5 between 200 and 300
7 between 300 and 600
1 greater than 800

It is indeed a good question. After a pre-selection of 100 cyclists, ended up choosing the top 33 that I like to see performing. For this option, I obviously had to ignore the best performers I enjoy most (Contador, Wiggins, EBH) for keeping the 7500 points limit. My main purpose in participating in this game is related to the curious of checking my favorite riders´ performance. It is obvious that I would like to play for the final victory but I want to see if I can do it with the riders that I enjoy in real life.

Good question. I think now that people have a better understanding of how the game works we'll definitely see bigger scores. Something like 15000-17000.
