i've read a bit in this year's thread around page 60, about tactics (only mediocre riders vs 'sure' expensive riders plus cheap ones).
hugo koblet said, at the end of the year we'll know which tactic is the best one..
though i didn't look too detailed into the teams,
i don't think there is one definite superior tactic, guess one could win on different ways.
other possibilities would be 'pick only riders that have the chance to improve A LOT' (then you can't take really expensive riders)
or 'only riders that can reach 500 pts' (then it's difficult with most of the cheap riders).
this is all too restrictive, i decided not to use tactics at all..
and i think there won't be two identic teams, no matter how many riders are mentioned.
too many riders, too many individual choices to be made.

It will be intersting to see if more people go towards good solid picks this year or if personal preference still makes for some odd choices.
to combine both will be the fine art of this game
..but, as you have won, probably this would be the key, to be that neutral (which i'm not, as cycling is more of a passion to me than mathematics).
don't you allow yourself to pick 1-3 riders simply because you like them?
or one NOT to pick because you don't want to see him every day on your team?
