El Pistolero said:Jelle Vanendert.
Come to think about it: Jelle should be in a lot of CQ teams.
assuming he can deliver, which is still speculation considering he has done so... once at a higher level?

El Pistolero said:It's cycling, it's always going to be speculation unless your name is Gilbert or Contador.
Robert Gesink for example would be a good pick as well, but at the same time it's still speculation because you don't know how he will return from his injury or if he will crash in a GT again.
I think Jelle has proven not to be a one hit wonder. He was good in AGR, FW, LBL, Tour, Eneco Tour and CSS. And now he'll get to ride for him self.
taiwan said:No way I pay 400 points for Vanendert. Uran and Gerrans on a good season only scored 700 and something. Vanendert is relatively unproven.
obv. I won't be buying Froome either.
Timmy-loves-Rabo said:unless jelle was doing giro or something no I don't think I'd go for him either. He was on my shortlist, but I am unsure of what he will really deliver. I don't expect anything groung breaking.
El Pistolero said:Just saying... He worked the entire season for Gilbert and now that he's free to ride for him self... If he has an injury free season he'll score big.
There's always Tom Boonen at 500 points, who has the guts to take him?![]()
skidmark said:I retract all previous statements suggesting we shouldn't talk about potential picks. This is fun. And obviously, people are still going to be divided, meaning different picks/teams. It's difficult to figure out the equation of 'this year of breakout + more freedom next year = surefire points'. Look at Anton last year, it was very attractive to assume that in 2011 he'd get the same amount of points, plus finishing/winning the Vuelta, plus maybe something in the Giro. But look where that got people. What about LLS? Bad year, or (relatively) non-talent that got lucky for a couple of years? Ballan? Boonen? A younger breakthrough rider like Modolo or Viviani? Froome? Who the hell knows, in short.

Luke Schmid said:Which zero point rider has been mentioned? No don't answer that
I have not seen anyone saying that they are putting a rider in their team because they have 0 points.

hrotha said:Sicard was never going to be a very obscure choice, since I'd bet he was a relatively popular pick last season. Of course, I'm going to extend his contract with my team. It's only fair, since he's been injured.
