He could win M-SR and Tour of Flanders as well. He is also favourite for the WC. Then he just has to win the Nats, go okay at the olympics, Ardenees, Tour of Belgium/Eneco. He can also win a few stages at T-A. That would make for approximately 3800 points

lmao

I was showing how pointless it would be to pick him. The only rider who could even get that many would be Cancellara potentially ( RvV, E3, P-R, M-SR and all the ITT's over the year. And Nats and maybe a friendly Tour of Switzerland route )

Speaking of which does anyone think Bruyneel can now win a classic with Cancellara arguably the most consistent classics rider over the last few years. I will go with Cancellara winning either P-R or M-SR along with E3. Bruyneel could send Bennati to G-W

I know its pointless to pick him ... :( But I dont wanna play and not pick him either :p

Realistically - I dunno that Phil will even win the Nats next year. He won this year with the OPL guys all working for him (a sh*tload of Belgians)

.... but next year there will be him and GVA (maybe another 1 or 2 I dont really know) against full teams of OmegaPharma Quickstep and Lotto-Ridley

Gonna be a hard race for him.

As for Cancellara - I think he will still get a win or two. He still has a bag of tricks to play, and hopefully learned some lessons this year about winning without a team

It will be Eijssen, Gilbert, GVA and lodewyck. Not a bad team considering how small it is but will be tough for him.

But I'll be surprised if Gilbert gets a season like this again, he'll get the cancellara treatment every single time. It would really surprise me if people would pick him, there go half of your total points :p.

Think I might have picked my team. 31 riders, using all my points, so I haven't sent it in yet. Some fantastic people available for less than 100 points, and the most I spent on anyone was about 850.

Pick a couple of zero point riders to make it up to 33 riders. Almost any random rider with a team will do, who knows they might be next years Nathan Haas. Even if they score zero what have you lost. You could even try the rider on a Pro Continental team who has not scored a point for the last 3 years although he might not be on that team next year.

I hope I can get enough of the guys I want in in while still having an objectively good team with good potential for improvement.

[edit] have something solid now: 33 riders for 7499 points. One at over 1000, 3 at 0 points.

I seem to have a team. I'm not going to win this, but it'll give me some guys to cheer for. I chose quite a few riders that I particularly like, but I'm certainly not picking all my favourites. I'm aiming for at least mid-table respectability.

I just completed my first draft.
33 riders, 7457 points (I had trouble reaching that much and had to take a few gambles).
2 0-point riders.
5 riders 500+ (including 1 at 1000+) points.
13 riders 100- points.

Probably 2/3 of my final team there.

The reason you can't find them is because you're looking at 2011 riders - and they only show riders who've scored anything.

If you go to "transfer overview" you can see the neo-pros or returning pros signed by every team - and some of them will have 0 points.

I wont even look until the WorldTour licences are awarded and all the other mess (Geox etc) is sorted out.

Anyone who Picks Evans can ready call themselves a Fanboy - and not so smart at the same time :p
