I just realized after there being hilly stages in both Mallorca and AlUla Tour today that tomorrow the best sprinters will almost all compete, but in 3 different races. There is the Surf Cost Classic, a sprint stage in AlUla Tour and a sprint race on Mallorca.

Feeling better about having Christen now. A bit concerned with another Kron DNF, but I won't be alone there I guess.

It was mentioned in danish TV that got a text from his girlfriend, that Kron had crashed out, so I guess it could be even worse than if it was just bad form. But definetly some wasted chances of points for him now. Hopefully its not too bad.

Lund surfed right along the coast to get the the picnic of a win.

Pretty sure she's his wife. Especially since they referred to her by the name 'Kron'...

BTW, I'm pretty 78th - not counting the points from SCC, so I might realistically be lower again now - is the highest I've been in the rankings of this game.

(Not counting before we all got points. Being ranked higher because your usename comes first alphabetically doesn't count.)

With all sadness we can confirm that Fabio Jakobsen was found dead (in CQ terms) today at the roads of the Saudi Arabia. Our condolences and prayers for his fantasy managers and those who thought he has something left in him. But cheer up, at least you are not paying him 3 mln euros for sitting up the sprint behind real fight.

Ya, Hatherly is not a name I even heard of before. Maybe a good idea to have a look at MTB and riders crossing over for this game. Might be an expensive oversight.

I had Sam Gaze a few years ago but he couldn't make a dent on the road stage. It's very hard to predict such things.

Eekhof hit a pole in Al-Ula. One of my picks (only @Wvv is him as well). It hurts even more when the riders is in your CQ team than normally!
Broken jaw, further checkup in the Netherlands to decide if he needs surgery. Might miss the classics season.

SIgh.

Indeed. I ignored the evidence of my own eyes and convinced myself that it was impossible for him to go from being a multiple grand tour sprint stage winner to being this rubbish two years in a row. Sadly looks I was in wishful thinking mode.

Pidcock's program looks pretty good. Now that he has been freed from being on squire's team I think he can finally achieve his potential and have a 2000 points season.
Man, Almeida better have a giga season.

Not loving how things are going so far. Van Baarle broken collarbone, Kron crash, Plapp surgery, Kamp in the gruppetto, Vine not great form, Tulett not recovered enough to race yet, Dunbar somehow not podiuming this race, Hatherly looking great.

Now suddenly Vandenaabele has learnt to ride a bike again after all of last year when he was woefully inept.
