Not been here for a while. However watching the final stage of this race has inspired me.

This stage should be taken and turned into a one day race. Epic, brutal action. Loving every minute of it.

Was a similar situation in this stage last year. Race split to pieces half way along.

Indeed. British weather + steep walls + if they could add some cobbles are ingredients for a perfect one-day race.

Dennis and VDB missed the split. Around 17 riders in the front group. 5 Sky there with Adam Yates, Pauwels, Voeckler amongst others.

Yes agreed, the North of England has some brilliant racing terrain, the tour stage to Sheffield was excellent too iirc.

Yep, was a great stage. I was on some of those roads yesterday... glad I had my Gabba on, but couldn't do much about the chunks of hail in the face.
