actually, I don't know.

Race Radio said:Never mentioned anything about blood doping, you must have read that in some Public Strategies talking points. Hinault has been open about his use of "recovery therapy".
BanProCycling said:The French have long had a self righteous and nationalist attitude to the Tour de France, so it's not surprising that people take offense to that. Their training effort has also lacked the intensity of other teams, which must be a cultural thing. Sylvain Chavanel admitted that he only finally training hard near the end of his time at AG2R-La Mondiale.
Armsttong moved to Spain, yes to get away from the French media, but more importantly for the better weather for cycling.

BanProCycling said:There is more sunshine and less rain in Spain for the rest of the year, making it easier to do altitude training. Remember you see France in July for the Tour. If you've ever seen the GC guys doing reconnaissance earlier in the year for the mountain stages it's always ****ing with raining and has thick fog. That's why they stay in Spain for most of their work.

lol, you have no idea what you are talking about. You only go to Canary Islands to spy Armstrong getting his transfusions.BanProCycling said:I went to a training camp in Majorca earlier in the year. I know what I am talking about.

blackcat said:mirroring. This is the Armstrong talking points, mere projection. Armstrong is invoking the nationalism and demagogy. no one else.
Scott SoCal said:Now you have BPC scrambling for his dictionary...
BanProCycling said:Everybody is on my ignore list, but my instinct tells me I'm being subject to ad hominem attacks. I wonder if that's true.

BanProCycling said:He was offered a contract with AG2R-La Mondiale when he was at Cofidis, but knew another French team just wouldn't train hard enough, so went to Quick step instead. That's why AG2R was in my mind - thanks for highlighing that.![]()
Dr. Maserati said:Your welcome - could you provide a link to the article on where he actually mentioned that, thanks.![]()
BanProCycling said:Are you going to correct Scott for saying there is more rain in Spain than in France?
BanProCycling said:Yeah he gets obsessed with providing links for everything you hear about cycling. Maybe he doesn't know how much info you get just from hearing commentators discuss the news for four hours. I didn't ask you for a link for why it rains more in Spain, did I? I think he has OCD.
BanProCycling said:Stephen Roche was slagging him off about it last year in the Eurosport commentary after the Tour. After the stage he won. Maybe you can find it on google.![]()

BanProCycling said:Even in the south of France it can get pretty crap in the colder months. Spain generally better.
I am currently in an undisclosed location of course.
BanProCycling said:No, Roche was criticising his attitude for saying he hadn't trained properly until recently. He said he was taking everybody for a laugh.
I don't care if you believe me - the onus is on you to believe what you want.
BanProCycling said:Nobody goes to the beach in the winter in France - I can guarantee you that. Even in Spain it's pretty cold.
