Never mentioned anything about blood doping, you must have read that in some Public Strategies talking points. Hinault has been open about his use of "recovery therapy".

How in the world could LeMond have beaten a doped Hinault? Oh, and a doped Fignon? Hmmm.

The French have long had a self righteous and nationalist attitude to the Tour de France, so it's not surprising that people take offense to that. Their training effort has also lacked the intensity of other teams, which must be a cultural thing. Sylvain Chavanel admitted that he only finally training hard near the end of his time at AG2R-La Mondiale.

Armsttong moved to Spain, yes to get away from the French media, but more importantly for the better weather for cycling.

Better weather than Nice? Whatever you say Lance...

There is more sunshine and less rain in Spain for the rest of the year, making it easier to do altitude training. Remember you see France in July for the Tour. If you've ever seen the GC guys doing reconnaissance earlier in the year for the mountain stages it's always ****ing with raining and has thick fog. That's why they stay in Spain for most of their work.

Wrong yet again.

Where did I put my ignore button...

If you don't know the answer to that you are lost in this Forum.

At times, I am certain that I don't really 'fit' here. But I'll keep on looking in, commenting, asking, and filtering out suspicion vs facts to come to my own conclusions.

lol, you have no idea what you are talking about. You only go to Canary Islands to spy Armstrong getting his transfusions.

mirroring. This is the Armstrong talking points, mere projection. Armstrong is invoking the nationalism and demagogy. no one else.

Everybody is on my ignore list, but my instinct tells me I'm being subject to ad hominem attacks. I wonder if that's true.

Geez.. Wrong again.

Sylvian Chavanel never rode for AG2R.

He was offered a contract with AG2R-La Mondiale when he was at Cofidis, but knew another French team just wouldn't train hard enough, so went to Quick step instead. That's why AG2R was in my mind - thanks for highlighing that. ;)

Your welcome - could you provide a link to the article on where he actually mentioned that, thanks. ;)

Are you going to correct Scott for saying there is more rain in Spain than in France?

I'm saying the weather is comparable between Nice and Girona. Somehow Nice worked quite well for you for many years, did it not?

Also, where's your Euro base now? Hmmm???

Yeah he gets obsessed with providing links for everything you hear about cycling. Maybe he doesn't know how much info you get just from hearing commentators discuss the news for four hours. I didn't ask you for a link for why it rains more in Spain, did I? I think he has OCD.

Well, I'll give you credit for staying with your schtick. I think, once you retire for the second time, you could have a whole new career. I mean between cancer charity events and all.

Stephen Roche was slagging him off about it last year in the Eurosport commentary after the Tour. After the stage he won. Maybe you can find it on google. ;)

It would seem an unusual comment for Roche to make - as his son is a now a member of AG2R?

I have searched for it - and cannot find it- since you are the one claiming it was said then the onus is on you to provide the link, thanks.

Even in the south of France it can get pretty crap in the colder months. Spain generally better.

I am currently in an undisclosed location of course.

Yep. You know it's winter in Nice when the girls put their bikini tops back on when they are at the beach. That sucks

No, Roche was criticising his attitude for saying he hadn't trained properly until recently. He said he was taking everybody for a laugh.

I don't care if you believe me - the onus is on you to believe what you want.

Well I'm glad you see it that way. I think you have doped your entire career. So now I guess it's proven since the onus is on me.

Nobody goes to the beach in the winter in France - I can guarantee you that. Even in Spain it's pretty cold.

How would you know? You were always back in Austin in the winter.
