I feel like the women are unable to work together because they are so used to the strongest ones just winning - on strength.
I think that's part of it.

I also think it's down to endurance. They were all empty despite looking the strongest on the hill. Just becasue they were the strongest on the hill doesn't mean they're the strongest just after. They dropped 30 seconds on the flat between the penultimate climb and the final climb to 3 riders behind. They fried themselves completely, and the bad cooperation is a consequence of none of them having legs. Also the front 5 went ballistic on the lap before that too. It takes it out of you. If they had chilled and waited for the final lap it would likely be a different story.

Part of being a champion is finding ways to win and timing the final attack.

Looks like a sprint tomorrow from a group of about 20 - attackers just not getting away this morning and too much road to bring them back. They brought them back this morning after the final climb, and in men’s race the final climb is two kms further out, so 8lm to reel them back in
Mens race won't really have the dynamic that the strongest guys over the hill will be the weakest rouleurs in the field. And there is simply not gonna riders like Ellen van Dijk being able to close a 30 second gap in between hills, unless specifically Evenepoel ends up with Van Aert in a chasing group.

Great, if that's how you want to experience once of the biggest bike races of the year.

I'm a bit more of a fan, so I'll watch the race from the start.
Mate. You have no idea of the day I had yesterday.

I spent 6 hours travelling from and to work which normally takes 45 min. Including a 7km part I had to walk. I was dead. I needed my night rest. Thanks.

I woke up, turned on the tv, and that was right at the time of the first time the front 5 cleared with 25km to go. Perfect timing.

Same.

I dont feel like waking up at 2-3am tomorrow and ruin the rest of my day/beginning of next week sleeping pattern.

I will be up at 7am and watch the last two hours. It does not make me feel like any less of a fan. Almost every other race during a year I get to experience at a decent time for myself, so one Worlds in another part of the world is great for the people that normally cant watch the races or have trouble with doing so. I dont mind.
