You would think. It's one thing to mark him but doesn't mean it will work.............I would have thought he would have been a marked man two years ago.

For SBS its just a matter of funding. They're already paying for the three grand tours and the classics. They have already lost the A-League soccer plus the TDU and Cadel race. They are showing the World Cup soccer this year but that might be the next to go. Cam imagine how much that will cost.Doubtful Channel 9 had any clue of the gravity of the event they were covering. Also a failure of sports journalism.
They won’t and if they did they wouldn’t care.Which idiot gave channel 9 the broadcast rights? Would channel 9 run an ad break in the middle of state of origin Rugby League? Pathetic and cringeworthy. I hope someone at Channel 9 reads this.
I got totally tired of those bunch sprints.............Sprinter’s course. Totally sucks.
Letting the NSW Tourism Board direct the coverage wasn't a good idea...........but lighthouse enthusiasts and rock pool afficionadoes were beside themselves with joy.........and the bemused Lord Mayor of Sydney says thank you............The coverage been abysmal. A couple fixed cams and text updates would beat this
Channel 9 has been going down the plug hole for years...........they even got rid of their best cricket commentators and that was one of the only things good on the entire channel. Sounds like they will be getting the cricket back from 7.They won’t and if they did they wouldn’t care.
the leader (Zimmermann) crashed out, to be fair. Main problem was that they missed every move, not that they were the only ones to realize that the race is over if they don't chase.Arndt was the best German finisher at 52nd place.
an hour ago this was already the dumbest race i've ever seen and wow what happened since
Entire country talking about Saint Matthew but Bauke Mollema once again carrying the nation to that top 30 glory
Good to know his remains haven't been found in a ditch, after he got eaten by pelicans.
I think it was as late as the penultimate lap that they were still chasing, not for Zimmermann.the leader (Zimmermann) crashed out, to be fair. Main problem was that they missed every move, not that they were the only ones to realize that the race is over if they don't chase.
These Remco solos are becoming boring. There is no suspense at all. As soon as he gets 3m of a gap, it's over. Especially when he is doing it against second and third tier riders in a break.
Anyway, congrats for the win. Fully deserved.

yeah, before the first Pogacar attack which reduced the gap to 1 minute or so. Arndt must have been a bit overconfident there, but it's not like Rutsch and whoever else was left would have been of any more use anyway. It was the last chance to bring things back together, and I can't really blame them for giving it a try.I think it was as late as the penultimate lap that they were still chasing, not for Zimmermann.
Same average speed roughly as the junior and u23 races. That's pretty normal as far as I can see, though the men had better weather conditions.Remco‘s winning average speed was insanely fast, again: 42.6 kms/hr!
He was very active, soloed the finale, and finished two and a half minutes in front of the Silver medaillist.
Comparable performance numbers by Remco to his numbers of LBL. Very impressive.
Also a lot of disappointing riders, today. Guys who prepared perfectly, but failed in the race.
