thanks a ton for this foxxy, was a ton of fun throughout. can't wait to dominate the tour in july

aah... you didn´t really need him, his win just made it more tough for me to survive ;)

So who made it on to the Tour?

I just posted the official standings.... Everybody until 16th. The next cut will be after the TdF (16 to 8)

Did anyone get any outrageous predictions right, or did everyones stage wins come from Contador, Cav, Rujano, Petacchi, HTC

What was the most impressive correct prediction?

Some guys had 1-2-3 finishes, two had Rujano correct on the spot... wish google hadn´t spoiled it.... It looks real cute, everything can be seen (who scored when and where)

Hitch, i don't know about the others but two of my three stage wins came from ventoso and millar...like to keep it interesting :p

... and don´t forget Rujano on 7th. Good pick

I missed 5 (!) Top-20-Riders by 1 Spot (my only hit was Contador, as everybodys ;)). Could have scored 6 more points. Luck will even out. I think it will be my turn on the TdF :p

Anyway, thanks too. It was quite a ride. Rooting for some italian riders trying to hang on. Never did that before. The game made the Giro more interesting to watch... especially today when the 4th-9th riders where all together.

Ta Foxxy, great game and all the "under the hood" work too!

Well done to those that qualified for the next challenge...good luck.

I will be "in the stands" on the "Champs E" to see who qualifies for the Vuelta.

ciao Lanterne Rouge

Id say both are more cycling intelligence than luck. You picked Ventoso for a sprint which came after a hill, and Millar for a tt taking into account Contador had a 3 pick limit.

Very well chosen.

Hope to see you back next year, defending the laterne rouge ;)

But nice to pick him that high. I didn´t trust Rujano to finish that good. I know you talked good about him before the giro, so this 4 points are well deserved.

I've gotta stop reading this thread, too many bad reminders!:D

Stupid Menchov.

Of what i read, i think you was hit the hardest with bad luck today (just say: "7 seconds").

I only got 1 stage win, I'm pretty surprised I made it in the 16.
I was lucky to get there, and although 16th aint great, it matters little in the context of the game :D

If I come 8th at the tour I'll be happy, as long as I can get to the vuelta.
I'll try and avoid the mistakes I made last time.

It was amazing. Everything went well for you; Rujano dropping 1 spot, good for another REALLY needed 2 points. And then there are no ties after the 16th-ranked-Player: Just one more player with 19 points and your weak tie-breaker would have "killed" you.

Whatta comeback. I didn´t believe the calculations first... The story of the game so far... :)

Thanks man for organising this game. When I looked at the results after stage 20 i thought i was certainly out. I cant believe i made it as i admit i didnt think a lot about my choices as i didnt have the time. I will sure take more time to consider my choices for the tdf.

i'm delighted i made the podium (and more importantly the cut).

i just have the nagging thought that visconti was a violent push/dangerous sprint/harsh decision away from me taking the title.

My big moment was Vicioso's stage win, although it really wasn't all that outrageous. Short, steep climb followed by a downhill and a flat finish from a small'ish peloton (or, as here, a small breakaway group). I'm actually surprised nobody else picked him. That was a Vicioso finish if there ever was one.

Something to brag about from my unpleasant 17th place :D

I must admit I got through by sheer luck. Had Scarponi much lower for instance and Anton second, but because I overestimated Anton I still had Nibali right for third place. So still 4 points on those 3 riders, with another 2 for Contador. My stage wins were pretty predictable.. Cav, Contador twice and Millar.

In the top-20 I made some stupid mistakes: including Appolonio, Hoogerland and Agnoli were all pretty stupid in retrospect (especially Appolonio, still don't know who I have confused him with).

Too bad the Google doc thing doesn't work, would be interesting to compare the top-20 lists of the winner to mine. Might actually learn something for the Tour :p

I did have a good laugh when I saw him in your top 20. That was quite the gamble :)

yeah i was pretty lucky, rujano saved me.
I only had one stage 1, my top 20 saved me big time.
