I've actually lost my dad, 2 uncles, and grandmother to cancer. The fact that two-bit frauds like Armstrong are exploiting this disease for personal profit is utterly disgusting. It's much easier to pop on that little yellow bracelet and believe the myth than actually see the lie behind it all.

Thank you for the information concerning Livestrong. The newspapers were reporting today that Prosecutors investing the Landis charges are considering using the RICO statutes. The reasons for this have yet to totally emerge, but it would be interesting to see if money from the Livestrong campaign can in fact be traced to organized doping in cycling, in which case, Mr. LA will be wearing a new jersey altogether, and although it may look like he is riding for Euskadel, it will be for a different team altogether.

I was a big fan of Mr. Armstrong at one time, but when I saw how he treated Mr. Contador last year, I began to question what kind of man this Mr. Armstrong really is. I looked back at some of the races and when you saw him climbing up the big mountains with Landis in front and surrounded by convicted dopers, it is pretty hard to believe that he was the only clean person in the bunch. I feel sorry for those that look up to him, when it should be obvious to all that he did every thing he could to be the center of attention, and in the process he really destroyed the Tour, if you still had the sound turned on and listened to Liggett and Sherwen gratuitously singing the praises of Mr. Armstrong and Team Radio Schlock (no this is not a Freudian slip).

Tired of being wrong yet? Here is some more:

"In 2009, the Foundation also convened a blue-ribbon panel to review the Foundation’s previous research grant portfolio and its impact and make recommendations for changes moving forward. The panel recommended the Foundation focus its efforts to transform cancer research to be patient-centered through the exchange of electronic health information."

"exchange of electronic health information" has nothing to do with research for treatment and cures.

Look at the tax returns on the site. They show the money that they granted for cancer research. Or do you claim that their tax forms were falsified?

It's funny that you say Lance has tried to make this year's Tour about him, because the only place I've seen Lance talked about over the past 3 weeks is on this forum, and mostly from people who seem hate him.

I guess you missed coverage of the actual race then.

I would have to agree the kit looks good in all black. More than the regular RS kit anyway, and I think it would be a good marketing kit for Livestrong.com. But by showcasing and parading it the way they did today, it comes off like an attention grabbing sales gimmick.

And has anyone ever thought about the fact that testosterone patches on your "privates" can actually lead to premature cancer. Just saying...
Much more likely is the use of cortisone/corticosteroids and masking agents.

Oh so wrong, clinicians around the world rely on the LS database of information to help patients in treatments and cures as well as their clinical research.

Been there, it is a fact.

The fact is the "Livestrong" data base is really a variety of other publicly available databases skinned and branded Livestrong.

Don't listen to Lemond and his minions whose lives are dedicated to destroying Lance and Contador with false doping allegations.

Lemond has minions? Wow. His power is increasing.

Uh, yeah, clinicians rely on Livestrong. Whatever. On what did they rely before Livestrong? Encyclopaedia Britannica?

And you didn't notice any focus on Armstrong? Really.

Honestly, not really. Once he was pretty much out of the overall, I think that they stopped talking about him. Then again, I watched 95% of the race from my iPhone.

Then you missed 95% of the race. Don't worry though, they came out with these sweet new black 28 jerseys for all the real cycling fans. I'm sure they reserved you one. You can pick it up at your local Radioshack. Hope rides again.

You just KNOW you'll be able to custom-order one with your name on the back, just like Lance.

Just $100 more, cash, checks, credit cards and PayPal accepted.

Please what? I watched my sister die from cancer. Please explain what you don't understand?
Please stop pretending Armstrong's foundation has anything to do with developing cancer medicine.

Also stop behaving as if you're the only one who lost family to cancer, we all have.
I've lost an aunt because of synthetic hormones as a matter of fact; intelligent people can dot the i's.

The fact that your big hero is hijacking a 107 year old event(in fact the biggest event in France) to the hilt for his own PR purposes and is potentially involved to the hole in goings-on that have/will prematurely kill a number of cyclists might not be important to you, because he gathered a few millions for cancer and cyclists are dumb expendable f*cks after all, but it is to some.

Ahhh, the "my experience with cancer means you cannot dislike Armstrong or question his 'cancer awareness' efforts." I won't bother refuting this kind of ignorance. Suffice to say that you have no idea what any of our experiences with cancer are.

Heck, even Paul threw out a Freudian slip of his own when he referred to it as a "publicity stunt".

Obviously not what PS would ever say, but proof there aren't too many ways to paint a turd...

Which part of "While the Foundation did not formally release an original Request for Proposal and fund new research grants in 2009" do you not understand?

This.
I've had plenty of experience with that sadly, lost a good friend, lost my grandfather.

Still doesn't make me like Lance Armstrong or think he is a good genuine person. On the contrary.

No, because I'm sure you had no "awareness" before today's "28" campaign.

Hey, nobody has explained to me how those Michelob Ultra ads on Livestrong.com benefit cancer...

When you hear Armstrong utter the words "cancer awareness," make sure you understand that it helped him purchase this:
