He's only sorry that its hurting his ego & his cash cow...umm "charity"

Still some people believe in that...I'm hoping its investigated by someone beyond doubt...

After all the stories of how Armstrong treated Livestrong donors with disdain, riding off without them on paid rides, now suddenly people actually believe that this fraud is issuing a "limited confession" to Oprah, who knows NOTHING of cycling, because of Livestrong?

Really? People really believe this nonsense?

Yes sadly. We all know he still has supporters who believe in him, no matter how delusional he is.

limited confession indeed...this whole thing is already so tainted and his psychopath fingerprints are all over it..."yes, I made a few mistakes...I lost my moral compass just for abit...if I wanted to even show up I had to and my biggest hope was to help all the cancer folks out there" blah blah blah....

There is only one way to fix that & I stated it in my last post....

I think that the the several mentions of how Armstrong has gathered with his legal team and close advisors do not bode well for candid answers to questions. He is being prepared like a deposition, the spin continues.

If there were ever a group of unwilling pawns in his masquerade, it would be the foundation employees. It will not be lost on them that his apology, its timing, its PR purpose, and its feigned authenticity is manufactured to serve him.

I would bet most of the employees (especially the employees at the top) would have known about Armstrong's dirty side and Livestrong's dubious origins and could have left the foundation if it really mattered to them. So I would not call them unwilling pawns. Considering their jobs now depend on the outcome of 90 minutes of TV, they are definitely part of the masquerade. Fake apologies and tears all around no doubt.

But, if you start that tactic with "mistakes were made" and a number of other pitiful statements and finish with some version of not disappointing the Armstrong-despised Liveswrong minions, it would put him back in control of the message.

Appearance fees are back on the table! Pete Rose being a good example here.

I can't speak for usa, but in europe no one believes him anymore and doping is much more accepted in cycling. so if he keeps on denieing at least in europe he would be over for good and lawsuits coming up

They believe it because of LieStrong...that makes my blood boil!

Does anyone know if it will investigated?

what about Hombre from Dailypeloton? I'm concerned at his mental health.

I'm guessing Mr. de Subaru has been having a tough couple of days. I wonder when he starts lashing out at Oprah for cornering Lance... buying in to the witch hunt.

Or lambasting the new Lance for desecrating the old one.

The sad thing about it all is that Lance has no hope of being considered in a favourable light whatever he does. Not that he should be. Everything catching up with him.. oh so slowly.

I, for one, will be boycotting and ignoring anything this fraud does, or has to say. The one thing he still clamors that he can perhaps get is attention, and I'm not going to give him any.

Agreed. I didnt buy Nike even before Wonderboy endorsed them, nor will I in the future, or Trek, or Oakley, just from personal preference. I was going to buy a nice Trek roadie

Everyone here at the clinic can't seem to resist giving him attention, even though it is overwhelmingly negative. We'll see clinic "attendance" goes up immediately after the Oprah piece.

And while I too think he is a fraud (among other things), and nothing he says can ever be trusted, I'm still going to watch (with morbid fascination) his Oprah performance.

Funny thing is,to lots of LAs (former) fans who do not follow the sport closely any admission would be viewed as a betrayal and he will continue to be discarded.

The people that could end up forgiving him may be the cycling fans - but, and its a big but, that would be dependent on if or how he attempts to atone for his behavior and whether it is sincere, and cycling fans would be the best at gauging if there is sincerity.

PS - ya, i will watch too - either way, its car crash TV

I want to hear the "discussion" between Landis and Armstrong. It would be hilarious.

"Remember that time I made fun of you when you lost the Tour of Georgia to a doped up Tommy D.? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

Then there will be Emma O'Reilly.

"Remember that time I spread lies that you were a prostitute? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

Then Simeoni.

"Remember that time when I would not agree to ride the Giro unless your team was not invited, thus depriving you of what should have been one of the highlights of your career, riding the Giro as the Italian national champion? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

And Greg LeMond.

"Remember that time when I had Livestrong employees, paid with cancer donations, badmouth you on every message board and newspaper comment section they could find? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

Fifty year old motorist.

"Remember that time I dragged you out of your car and beat the hell out of you? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

Iban Mayo.

"Remember that time you smoked me in the Dauphine Libere so I called my good buddy Hein Verbruggen to have the UCI hound you until you were finally forced out of the sport and ended up driving trucks? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

Betsy Andeu.

"Remember that time you registered with the Paceline forum and I had the admin pull your password so I could access your email account? Sorry 'bout dat. My bad."

What is this one? I had not heard about this. I know there was a s***storm over there a while ago about one of the mods, but had not heard this.

Just as a btw - I used to visit that place, for years. In one thread last year I made a comment about Armstrong, started getting harassing PM's from another member. Telling me he wished I would cancer. When I forwarded it to a mod to deal with, I was told I should keep my opinions to myself and "be sensitive" to those who are dealing with cancer! Not been back since.

Local Atlanta Newspaper

The average American sports fan has turned on Armstrong and just wants him to go away. From the editorial pages of the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

This was the old Paceline forum, which was for the Postal Service team and later Discovery. One of the administrators went on to work for RBR. The current Paceline forum is the rehosted Serotta forum, and I don't think it has anything to do with the old forum.

When people sign up for forums they often use the same password as the email account they sign up with. Armstrong used that to "hack" into people's email.
