Don't think Danielson is doing Vuelta unless they change their mind. He had USA Pro Cycling Challenge in his plans.

Correct. Danielson wanted to ride the TdF this year for top 5 (thats what he said at the start of the season), but he had an injury and couldnt recover from it for a long time and wasnt able to reach his best form. So he skipped the tour to take some rest and prepare for Utah + The US Pro Challenge

Exactly! I don't think what can go wrong.

I would seriously love to see him be rejected again in favor of Danielson. The last time it paid off with Navardauskas. His movie is going to be very short! :p

Just noticed Carter Jones on 8th place. Great ride. Another strong performance on Snowbird and about time he comes to Europe.

Short, sweet and different. Garmin will have to get to work immediately methinks, but its controllable. Maybe.

well, if there is a clown somewhere willing to pay....

With Canondale apparently folding it's probably the end for the "intended to cheat" champ.

Basso is no where again. I'm not sure why he isn't retiring.

When Horner was 36 he wasn't so succesful either, so there's still time to get some form back.

Is it me or Garmin are trying to replicate Sky's mountain train a lot recently? Today in Utah they led for the last entire 35 or so kilometers. They also tried to destroy the peloton Sky-like today in Poland and on stage 11 of this year's TdF, but they had too weak team to do much damage. They also did it succesfully last year on a last stage of Utah.

Garmin is always a copy cat of SKY, does that ever change? And they are proud.

no one's saying Basso has got a lot left but expecting him to excel on a high altitude super-steep slog is a bit ridiculous

I kinda regret Garmin decided to control the race, because I would have liked to see what would Howes be capable of in GC.

A strong domestique he is, but the las time he rode for himself was last year's Tour de l'Ain.

What on earth happened to Keldermerckx?! I thought he would demolish this field....

Why? Kelderman isn't yet the climber Horner is, or arguably even "Super D" mode Danielson.

In the US, that's easier to do than in Europe of course. Phil Gaimon can't decimate a European peloton.
