I especially liked the bit after the finish that they were raving on about how professional Belkin was as a team, but they didn't have a clue that they were riding for Hofland until like halfway in the race before some Spaniard tweeted them about it.

The announcers are clowns. When they're done here, Cirque is hiring. If you're a keen Cat 4, looking to get the inside scoop on hydration, saddle height, and a 3km rule, then listen away. Otherwise, kill the sound and put on some trax.

In the last 5k, they raved about a Ken Hanson (who couldn't hold on to anybody let alone his own train, and struggled in half a minute down, behind dozens of frail climbers and rookies). At about 6km, "Ken Hanson, one of the fastest sprinters in this peloton, a great chance to win this stage, a legitimate chance of winning ... Belkin only have two riders on the front, it does not bode well ... UHC is sitting pretty." "I'm curious about the tactics and strategy of Belkin ... "

Classic idiocy: "These finish circuits are gettin' pretty hairy, the american-based teams are like totally comfortable, far more so than those European-based riders ..."

I am also going to wait for TV coverage in the states. does anyone know if the coverage will cut in live at 4 PM or will be be able to see both climbs?

Coverage in my area started after 2 mdt (delayed because of baseball) and ran until 4 mdt. Unfortunately only less than an hour was broadcast because of power outage. Summary at 11 pm mdt tonight. Coverage is on ROOT TV.

Tomorrow broadcast is scheduled for 2 pm mdt.

Gotta give it to Cadel. He is almost always diligent about being near the front and not losing time unnecessarily. Gained 5 secs on the other GC guys today.
Alex Howes and Gavin Mannion gained some time too. I wonder if any of them will go for GC in this race. They're both decent climbers.

So today's stage looks like it has a difficult final climb, but still looks like ~35km from the finish.

Another one for Hofland? Or is it too difficult?
I didn't study the route or the startlist thorougly, but from a quick look my guess is he'll win at least stage 3 and 5 and maybe today as well. Winning 3 or 4 stages is a nice comeback after a crash. :)

Well, Ramiro Rincon was in the break, and now decides it's over for this week. He abandoned. So no Rincon 2012 style:(

And now 2 other riders from Funvic (Andre Almeida and Alexandre Manarelli) also have left the race.

Something with the food?

I'd be very surprised if there is another Belkin rider beside Keldermann in the field.

Schär would deserve it, he works so much, any race he's in.
