LOL. Yep, that's the end of the paved section.

Is that why they call it Powder Mountain? They should have made it a couple of 100 metres longer for a perfect finish.

heh, love it.
Nice action today. Helped by pretty high pace all day, around 43 km/h avg before the last climb. Killed all support riders before PM.

Exactly how it should be.

Indeed strong Garmin team for the Vuelta: Danielson, Dan Martin, Talansky, Hesjedal, Cardoso.

Danielson is like Gesink: fly him to Europe and suddenly he performs 10% less.

I find it a little bit strange to see Cardoso in that list:p

It's not what it seems. :p

I meant it as a support rider, after his hard work in the Giro.

Don't think Danielson is doing Vuelta unless they change their mind. He had USA Pro Cycling Challenge in his plans.

And Millar as the filmmaking anchor?

Exactly! I don't think what can go wrong.

Makes sense, I got it from procyclingstat's provisional startlist. They should reconsider it if so. Problem might be this:

...though the Canadian classics after slikely will be led by Slagter and him having to ride as a support rider.

Tomorrow can be tricky. It starts in Wyoming. The area there has a lot of wind. From the start to the top of the climb, there's considerable probability of crosswinds.

Once at the top, the first part of the descent is fast, then it levels out.
If the pack stays together over the climb, it'll be a sprint finish unless the break takes it.
