There is something strange with how fast he is back on the bike. It makes very little sense to me.

But when i look for actual facts around his injury i get mixed results. Some say collapsed lung and many broken ribs, others say broken femur and others say muscle trauma and broken kneecap.

Can anyone confirm, either by team-statement, hospital-statement or Bernal himself what injuries he actually suffered.

I am not trying to play it down, I am just too amazed that he is back on the bike.

With the whole media circus around it I'm kinda sceptical it was as bad as they made it out to be

Cyrille Guimard aka the famous French directeur sportif of the Renault cycling team in the 1980's & former rider himself in the 1970's (multiple stage wins in the Tour) expressed doubts about the severity of Bernal's injuries in his recent column in cyclismactu.net: Chronique - Guimard : «Netflix sur le Tour de France ?

So no one here needs to feel bad about having similar thoughts. You're not alone.

Those pesky latinos and their immoral ways, having a crash, pretending it was very bad..just to recover later. UCI must intervene fast, otherwise cycling as we know it and love it will be dead. You dont want to get to the point Africans and Asians decide they want part of the pie too.

They did the same with Froome so I am not sure if your comments apply here.

Aren't the Slovenians supposed to go?
No clue, probably depends a lot on whats happening in July. The comment was tongue in cheek, but if hes already doing this now, just imagine in a few months when he probably can train properly. He will be strong, thats for sure.

They both have plans to be there. Roglic to equalise the record for most wins.

He won't have the necessary racing in his legs, unless the whole thing was a farce.

Happy for Egan on his outstanding recovery.
At this pace, can we speculate confidently about him returning to proper racing late this year..? Vuelta in the works?
