I thought the issue last year was the massive race load.His main challenge has been recovery and his mental state. Over the past year, he has shown glimpses of strong performance, but the focus now is on gradually rebuilding his confidence. By the end of the season, it became clear that his struggles were primarily mental, leading Ineos and him to prioritize addressing that first. This year’s schedule has been carefully planned with that in mind.

That has been the opinion of some people. I don't think so. When you are racing in Plateau de Belle and you are thinking about the Tour de Spain, the problem is mental IMHO.I thought the issue last year was the massive race load.
I agree with you.I still worry if he can ride a three week stage race for GC, however, I can see him winning a GT stage. He should be fine for one week races and please do more one day races.
His calendar looked very sensible (before his injury today).Is he gonna overrace like a maniac again this year?
