Sounds like LA doesn't understand that the fan was doing it to his face. If you're in earshot of it, and the fan is yelling at it you, that's saying it to your damm face.

More worrying is Armstrong still doesn't get it. People don't like him. In fact they are disgusted by him. Come Tour time I'm sure Lance will set one of his bodyguards on the fans who yell, sorry, tell the truth at his face.

Que Bruyneel death threats story & the Tour is unsafe.

There is nothing superhuman about Lance when compared to other pro cyclist, other than his ego, blatant lies and perhaps business sense.

Phil Anderson summed it up well when a commentator talked about LA's pre cancer results proving his unique abilities. Phil said, before cancer no one in a million years would have considered Lance a future tour winner. He couldn't climb or timetrial. Lance even admitted this in his book. Big Mig was the only one who didn't laugh at him, but rather asked his training regime (probably pharmacist in real life).

In my opinion, LA's whole team during the 7 wins appeared superhuman. How do they end up dropping half the peleton yet control the race and still have most of the riders on the last mountain. Unbelieveable. I think they either had technology advancements like the internal motor we are hearing about or better dope than the rest. How many went down for drugs after leaving Discovery? Most of them.

In fact I wouldn't be suprised if LA had some kind of Genetic manipulation (offered himself as a test dummy) in order to survive cancer. They have created the ability to make Rats 1/3 stronger and faster, but 1/3 more aggressive and 1/3 more energy requirements (food). LA being such good friends with that criminal George Bush, who knows what medical technological procedures he was able to sign up for, that are hidden from the normal person.

All I know is that Big Mig once caught pre-cancer and doped up LA for 5mins in a timetrial and flew past him like he was standing still. then all of a sudden he comes back and can timetrial like Big Mig and climb like Pantani??? Losing some body weight (which is again disputed) won't help you with this. Lance is one of the biggest but smartest frauds in the history of cycling. Nothing superhuman about him. An average pro with good connections.

Armstrong is a gutless bully and is scared of Landis and Lemond. So dissing a spectator counts for nothing.

Radioshack are gullible for backing this person but its their loss. More a laughing stock than BP in my opinion and that takes something.

Not sure if it was seen but there was a story link to a story speaking with the CEO of Versus network. He notes that advertisers are way ahead of last year. The advertisers are those of Lance's: Nike, Nissan, Radioshack, Michelob Ultra...

Now that things will begin to heat up, decisions to be made before Le Tour, what is the perception as to this going in reverse? Sponsors/advertisers pulling out. I can see how a disconnected advertiser, like Shamwow, would want to keep the placed media due to the scandalous nature of the situation. But how about those who've bought in to the whole program? Do they dig in and support their "horse" or do they suspend?

Without movement in other areas, like say a USADA non-analytical finding notice, or say being notified of being under "formal" investigation, I would think they can continue. Should that change, and the LA camp not want to make it known, it may be the barometer as to the progress of the situation.

To RR's point, the word in the press/media room at the French Open was one of praise and thankfulness to Mr. Landis, as these journo's could now prepare and write what they've always wanted about LA.

That LA can't handle some heckling without a reaction such as cited, tells me his skin has thinned considerably. Surely, he has heard heckles in the past and not barked back. As all have come to realize, this situation is quite, quite different.

Dang, whoever the guy was, he missed a golden opportunity. I would love the shot at yelling at him and then getting punched by him. I'd smile through bloody teeth and say "You will hear from my attorney tomorrow. Get your checkbook out."

Problem is that in Europe he would not have gotten that much money, almost solely the damages that were inflicted. Would have been fantastic if punitive damages would have been rewarded, in that case the guy would have let himself be punched:p

Lance Armstrong was rattled by a heckler after finishing third overall in the Tour of Luxembourg today.

Torrential rain and storms disrupted the final stage and organisers had stopped timing 10km before the finish line. One fan yelled "liar, cheat" as Armstrong crossed behind the main pack and again as he spoke to reporters.

The American looked over to the crowd and barked at the fan three times: "Come and do that to my face."

Anyone know what Sheryl was doing in Luxembourg??

That suggests to me a man who is under pressure.

Love it.

So after the Dauphine prologue, Eurosport showed Planet Armstrong Tour of Lux episode. At the end of the episode it sounded like LA said he was going to ride TdSuisse, recon a few TdF stages, and go back to America before the TdF. Did I hear that right - can anybody else confirm? How the heck can LA fit in a trip back to America between the end of TdSuisse and start of TdF? That doesn't make sense. Two more long-haul flights would not be good prep for the Tour.

I do not profess to be a "tough guy" but I have, in real life, done and said far worse to a few AK toting Masalit guerrillas. Nothing puts the squeeze on your adrenal gland like looking up the barrel of a loaded AK-47.

So, though I don't feel your comment was directed at me, I can tell you that if the case arose where I could heckle Mr. LA, and I had a reason, I would not hesitate for a second. After a few run-ins with "real" danger, Mr. LA and his goons are just mall cops.

Yeah, this is one of the problems with the Tour and "special preparation".
If you ain't doing the Route du Sud, ( and none of the big boys are) or the Nationals, (most of the big boys aren't) they have full two weeks, with time on their hands.
WADA should test them 24/7 during this fortnight.

He has to go back to the states to retrieve his blood bags.

He has refrigerated panniers on his private jet, don't you know?

This guy sucks up more blood than a vampire. Who's the team doctor, Bela Lugosi?

Why would anyone be afraid of Lance punching them? He's not exactly Ironmike...

Lance should be careful; if he's gonna be this easy to bait it's all over.

He's lucky the guy was a coward, but others will get ideas now.

Lance lost 3 minutes in the final stage of the Tour of Luxembourg and should not have finished on the podium. After the race ended it was reported that LA had not finished on the podium, but then the gaps on the stage were neutralized. It apparently happened after the results were in. I don't know that we can say LA has found his legs, but possibly some might say that he's found his wallet.

And he said he was pleased with his podium result.

How can anyone be pleased with losing two minutes because the weather turned bad? What's pro cycling become? What would Hinault think?

Another brave face from LA, and more spin.

I don't think you understand, I am not advocating being "tough." I am advocating heckling and getting punched to earn a nice legal settlement. If the Uniballer wants to yell at people to come say things to his face, my guess is that he intends to take action should they do so. In all honesty, he strikes me as the type of coward who would allow his "people" to handle it, but lets say that he is willing to act like he has a full set, I for one would allow him to do so gladly. He has liability insurance for things such as that.

I thought I heard that too. We can confirm it once the Planet Armstrong is posted to Yahoo! UK Eurosport

no the coward was armstrong who knew very well (BEFORE issuing the challenge) that the guy would never be able to tell it 'to his face' through the layers of armstrong's personal private body guards and luxembourg' police.

it's not armstrong's thin skin, it's what we should expect and witnessed many times from a the sport's biggest dijk - an ugly attempt at intimidation.

this was just another expression of his rotten character in a simeoni-like episode but without a bike. he said the same to little prince last year what the guy refused to yield to his arrogance.
