Did I mention I almost soiled my shorts? No?

Well, managing to not add to the laundry, it was something I will never forget.

After, I found myself less reactive, or tense, in volatile scenarios, if that makes any sense.

"The seven-time Tour de France winner had an unpleasant encounter with a spectator after the stage. “Liar, cheater,” the spectator shouted. “Come here and say that right in my face,” Armstrong responded. The spectator did not accept the challenge, and disappeared."

Not sure but I'm guessing this 'spectator' was either; Race, Colm or possibly Hog;)

Don't pick on Race, he has to get his fix for the day. As Cal said, this thread is kept alive by Lance fanatics such as him. Would be intersting to do an individual count of the posts logged in this thread per forum member over a week. I would bet that the most posts would come from the anti Lance brigade..damn trolls:rolleyes:

Thing is, it's pointless saying 'don't feed them' because they self feed in a kind of posty boy feeding frenzy!

In fact I wouldn't be suprised if LA had some kind of Genetic manipulation (offered himself as a test dummy) in order to survive cancer. They have created the ability to make Rats 1/3 stronger and faster, but 1/3 more aggressive and 1/3 more energy requirements (food). LA being such good friends with that criminal George Bush, who knows what medical technological procedures he was able to sign up for, that are hidden from the normal person.

Don't be ridiculous. If some sort of magical cancer curing, super power giving drug cocktail existed 15 years ago it would be widely known by now. Cycling might be big business, but it's strictly little league compared to health care. No one suppresses medical advances for even 15 minutes, let alone 15 years to let someone win a bike race and earn millions, when they can patent and sell it to earn billions. Armstrongs dopes with HGH, EPO, Blood transfusion etc. just like every other cyclist. Perhaps his program is slightly better than other riders program, or perhaps not, but there's no big mystery about it.

Just heard an interview with, I believe the german television, he was really REALLY pissed off when they started asking questions concerning EPO and donating money to the UCI, starting swearing once again. Also he looked like he was about to snap, I wonder how he'll cope in the Tour de France, because people there will probably be even more vocal in their opinion, I think for his image and his mental health it would be better to either not ride the tour or to ride it with some form of earmuffs so that he doesn't hear anything. :p

Dont know if this has already been posted - the forum is a mess right now, and I guess it will only get worse come July...

Luxembourg City: abuse of lying and cheating were cycling star Lance Armstrong (38) to see red after the finish in Luxembourg on Sunday.

American lit on all plugs as a spectator in front of the bus to Radio Hack team yelled "liar," and "cheater," as Armstrong would put up the bike and go inside.

-Come here and say it straight to me, "said an angry Lance Armstrong three times towards the crowd.

It doesnt take much to make him tilt these days...just imagine the reaction when Novitzky starts asking the tough questions

I guess he will say "Go over there and ask that straight to my lawyer's face." ;)

Only if he thinks he can't fight it. If he takes the 5th that's as good as a public admission of guillt. Not legally speaking of cause, but all save the most idiotic LA fans should be able to figure out what it means.

Yes, but for our purposes, he simply MUST go to the tdf.

What happens when he meets the French press? Will it come down to fists? :D

...and your 2 consecutive posts don't count towards keeping this thread alive??

Armstrong was loudly cheered by local fans after the race but got involved in an exchange with one man who called him a “liar” and a “cheat.” Armstrong, who has had to put up with doping allegations for much of his career, jumped on the barrier separating his bus from the fans.

Meltdown 1.0 indeed.

Mebets most Lanceaholics, seeing what El Pistolero did yesterday, are having nightmares about Verbier '10.

Yes, it is coming... again... Lance will be denied.

Armstrong boycotted the French press for about 4 years because of their propensity to discuss doping - and that was before the l'Equipe article on the 6 positives from the 1999 TDF.

He finally put an end to the boycott by giving an "exclusive" interview just before the 2004 TDF to Jean René Godard, who is a rabid fanboy similar to Phil Liggett and quite likely the worst commentator on French TV.

I hope that this year the pressure is relentless, the French press owes him one.

Sounds like mid-life crisis 1.0.

He just doesn't move the needle (my God, I didn't realize the pun until after typing it) like he used to, except for dwindling Believers, which makes the Believers all the more shrill.

26 days to the tdf?

I gotta get a dvr soon.

In case you have not figured it out yet, the "cult following LA" on this thread do not appear to be fans, yet this thread is kept alive by them. Moose has pegged it correctly -

But then again, weird things such as "LA being extradited to the US" - (supposedly last week) have been posited on this forum...

That was an especially rare view into the minds of those who harbor so much hatred - they claimed he was going to be called back on Monday, May 31st.

A national holiday in the US.

A simple glance at a calendar could have told them how absurd the claim was, but they pressed on.

"Liar, cheat," yelled a man from the fourth row of fans gathered. He repeated it three or four times, until the seven-time Tour de France winner broke his calm.
"Why don't you say that right to my face," Armstrong responded.

Police pulled the man out of the crowd while RadioShack general manager,

Johan Bruyneel, took a photo of him.

"This may come in handy if he comes to the Tour," said Bruyneel

LOL. Armstrong is losing it. He just showed weakness. By losing his cool, he has encouraged people to taunt him during other appearances. He may wig out when it is a large group calling him what he knows he is.

I believe this will be one of the most entertaining things this tour, because quite frankly I believe the racing is going to be quite boring, especially compared to the giro of this year

Now that is funny. :D:p

Lance is accustomed to being taunted by fans at the TdF lol.
Makes him go faster.
Spit on him and he will win a stage.

Last year the TdF fans were very supportive...and Lance lost:(
Coincidence? I think not....
