Except for Lance. He grows younger. Spawned from the evil seed of Gunderson! Look how many comments he has on this thread. Probably a record! Can you believe Planet Armstrong?

Lance has attracted multiple sponsors to the sport. I know my friends( the bolsheviks) in this forum believe sponsorship is evil but.....who's sponsoring on versus and universal? Not Putin nor the premier of North Korea.

I don't begrudge him making money, and he's doing a fine job of it. :D What he's not shown this year is that he has the competitive spirit necessary to win at the highest levels of the sport. Maybe he's engaged in a season long ruse to fool his potential competitors. I find that highly unlikely, but I can't say that it's not possible. I look for the simplest and most logical answer and he just doesn't seem motivated. Or maybe focused is the right word. He doesn't seem focused. Maybe he can turn that around over the next 8 weeks and it won't harm his overall chances. That seems like quite the gamble for a 38 year old looking to compete against a slew of guys that have been competing most of the year. Not to mention a guy like AC.

The ToC and Tour Swisse will tell how Lance is doing. If he sucks in those 2 races Mtns. and TT he had better be riding for Levi or Kloeden in the tour.

Unless lightening strikes Contador I see Contador having a far greater career than Lance. Contador is earning my praises.

Secretly I want Lance to win 8 though. That would be epic!

The mountains in both the ToC and Tour de Suisse aren't very hard, so I guess you are right. If he doesn't finish with the top riders and TT well, then it should tell us all we need to know.

Lance won't win 8, but I agree it would be epic at his age.

It would be epic, alright-an epic FARCE.

Every time I see Armstrong's horrible position on a bike, I can't help but think how uncanny the resemblance is between him and the monster from the film "Cloverfield"-

Lance has always looked ugly on a bike, is that indicitive of being a runner or a triathelete?

I always thought the running influence made him ride with his toes down more than a pure wattage rider. He moves around enough to be a hybrid and it works for him, ugly or not.

There's smooth, there's sublime, and there's fast. Don't recall Vino beating Lance in too many time trials in Lance's prime.

Is this a serious question? If you're asking "what performance-enhacing chemical causes cancer", ok, I understand that.

irrelevant-the statement was made to suggest lances cancer as proof of ped use; but a) no chemical absolutely causes cancer and b) lances cancer occured prior to his tdf victorys, he wasn't that good before 99- if he was using peds as suggested by his cancer then it would stand to reason that would have occured after his tdf victories

Unless it was a switch from 'if 10 kills I'll take 9' approach pre cancer - to a far better, more effective (and probably healthier) program post cancer.

Not for long...he's going to be the Celebrity endorser for this product for sure:

I like it. I think could do this product good....

• Look Firmer
• Look Younger
• Look Well Toned
• Look Inches Slimmer
• No Diets, No Exercise
• No Pills, No Gym Memberships
• No Surgery

However you'll never get him to agree to the "no pills" clause in the contract. No exercise shouldn't be a problem on recent form.

Notice Lance has been training in Santa Barbara up Old San Marcos. The stats are way scary compared to the French climbs. These Alpine climbs have nothing on this monster. Its only 1600 meters shy of the Tourmalet :p Perfect build up training.

Old San Marcos
Total Distance:14.21 km
Minimum Elevation:38.00 meters
Maximum Elevation:434.00 meters

Vino's diaphragm is clearly much smaller than LA's. Prolly cuz Vino has a normal sized heart and and only pedals at 95rpm.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Sitting here eating my Jake's granola in SB and damn glad I wasn't riding stage 2 of the Giro today. Wow. Hope everyone is alright. Congrats Tyler!" Lance Armstrong continues his tough training schedule ahead of the Tour.

That road sucks. Barely any shoulder. If you're going to go there, make the trip to Solvang and ride Figueroa. Plus, you can stop at the Bulldog Cafe for some chocolate chip zucchini muffins.

Wasn't Lance supposed to give all the money he made during his comeback to charity? I guess he forgot that one..

At the end of the day, it's his money. In South Australia there is a hospital cancer wing that benefited pretty well from his comeback. Personally i don't have much time for guys that bag his charity work. Regardless of what he keeps and what he donates, he has still raised a ****load of money over the years and I'm sorry but guys that try and twist that around(which some do on here) reflect badly upon themselves.

It would be interesting to compare the amount of money Armstrong has raised for charity over the years with other top athletes. He would be right up there.

It's indicative of being a fat f*cking loser.

Lol even without being a particilar fan of the man, I can only shake my head at the stupidity and to be honest, nastiness of this post.

It amazes me how some posters are banned for reasonably well argued points of view yet you keep coming up with this sort of trash comment with no sanction at all.

What are the stats of Gibraltar climb since you seem to have some knowledge of the area. He was riding that one too I believe.

However, do you still believe he is not going to ride the big climbs before the Tour? With all the time you've spent dogging his lack of altitude riding this far and such I really hope he rides well in the Tour just to prove you wrong. For the record, I am of the mind he knows a hell of a lot more than you do about what sort of prep he needs to do to be competitive.
