Lance goes right up to the front and starts motioning and yelling at Di Luca to have LPR chase them down immediately. I think he was half joking but Di Luca didn't think it was that funny and just kind of stared at him with a facial expression that said "Armstrong you're a douche, go back in the pack and leave me alone." You can catch this at the beginning of the Universal Sports coverage recorded web video for stage 7, it's pretty funny.

I missed seeing the Simeoni incident, mainly because by that point I was paying scant attention to hands-down the dullest Tour in history. However, I was watching when LA made that appalling speech from the podium in Paris. It was an insult to the intelligence of everyone who loves this sport. That's what really cemented my hatred for that scumbag.

To be honest, I've been avoiding these forums lately because almost every single thread has been hijacked with "Astana-Circus" / Lance Pharmstrong / Alberto Contadoper comments. Figured I'd hijack the official hating thread to show my disdain.

Do you guys honestly have nothing better to do than b itch and moan about LA? Are you guys REALLY suffering from existential problems because of his return and/or past actions?

Pharmstrong also stated at the time that "Simeoni and people like him want to destroy cycling." This implies that anyone who speaks out against doping "wants to destroy cycling." Of course anyone with half a brain realizes that doping itself is what is destroying cycling and ruining the credibility of the sport. With this quote, Armstrong publicly declared his loyalty to the old order of doping and became a very public enforcer of Omerta.

i thought we where sticking to hating lance and not hitting the cancer/livestrong thing.. go back a few pages dummy and you will find someone on here who has personal experiences with the livestrong foundation and someone who went out cycling with there buddy the other day after the foundation helped him with the disease...

I agree I think everybody needs to calm the hell down and talk about the Giro, but this is getting too territorial now, Marinoni really I think you need to calm down and nobody say to me or Merckx to hop in the LA loving thread, remember this is a forum.

All I'm saying is the threads were originally created to give the haters/lovers someplace to express their opinion without the hijacking of other threads, which was becoming a problem. As long as I stay in this thread when making these comments I don't see the problem. As you say, this is a forum. If you want to talk about the Giro there's a thread for that.

I dont like Lance because I think he's an *** for lying to all the dying sick people in cancer wards that they can achieve their goals on "sheer willpower" like he "did" with his Tour wins.

You can love or hate, but thats neither here nor there. The internet world is dominated by kids labeling eachother as "haters" "lovers." The truth has nothing to do with being a lover or hater. Garmin dopes too, i've mentioned that many times but limit it because both sides will team up to kick me off the forum if I make enemies on both sides. People dont think logically, they tend to run on emotion.

There's the FACT that Lance only finished the Tour once and outside he top 35 pre- Dr. Ferrari scientific doping. DNF, DNF, 36th, DNF.

With "epo, HGH, test, cortizone, anabolics" Lance could only get either a DNF or outside top 35 places. Lance was made by Ferrari's scientific doping and he has shot off his mouth about he "worked harder" and did it on willpower. Which is a load of BS. Thats the truth and I keep saying it because its the bare bones truth.

Besides, this is actually a lot of fun. Even if not totally based in logic, we can say whatever we want here. Be it seriously accurate accusations about the guy, or just for fun.

I absolutely do not. I think it's much better to have it concentrated here (or there) than have it permeate through every other thread which would be inevitable. It does get discussed elsewhere, but it's fairly reasonable and being concentrated well here. I've considered starting "The Doping Thread" for the same reason.

i dont.. strongly disagree with that..

the reason i created this thread was due to the sheer volume of anti lance posts on here that where creaping into literally every single thread..

almost every thread, whatever it was, a way was found to turn it into yet another lance hating thread... since this one started the other threads have been reletively clear of lance, and its actually been interesting reading and posting on here...

If i dont want to read the lance comments theres an easy option for me.. i just dont come in this thread... get rid of this thread and the other, and we go back to every subject being infiltrated by lance posts... This thread has done more to keep the message board controlled, freindly and on track than anything else.. (note there are probably about 200 posts in this thread.. posts that would have otherwise been scattered everywhere else)

I've considered starting "The Doping Thread" for the same reason.

i actually think thats not a bad idea.. all doping subjects in one thread, again, keeps other threads clear, or relatively clear...

the other option of course is we start threads on interesting discussions to distract people.. ive done that today with an EBH thread, maybe there are other things to be discussed too.. (although im waiting for "someone" to pop up in that and say that EbH can only be as strong as he is through hamogulous blood transfusions or something )
