I really don't know.
This GC ambition was a mistake in the first place. And I agree with Pippo, he's probably not in top shape yet. Even in Strade Bianche I'd say he won more on class than legs.

Moser riding for GC here reminds me of the days when Chavanel used to ride for GC at the Tour.

Stick to what you're good at.

The way he still won that race, after almost getting caught, suggests to me that his shape is really quite good. But the Tour of Poland of course isn't a real indicator of his (current) possibilities against a field of in-form superstars like we have in the Tirreno right now.

Moser to attack with 20km to go. All the other teams looking at each other and don't want to pull Sagan. Sure it might well come back together, but it is the wisest use of Moser to let him attack.

If he does that at MSR, preferably by riding down a teammate up front, this thread will need to renamed The Official Moser is the new Devolder Thread :D

Very poor in the TT also. I'm pushing the panic button :(
It was his first stage race of the year and he probably doesn't have the form yet to be able to recover sufficiently from day to day. But no reason to panic, really.

So are you guys ready to push the panic button with me now?
Nowhere to be seen in two consecutive stages during the Settimana Coppi & Bartali. The field is certainly nothing special here.

What's going on? :(

No need to worry. The boy will deliver in the Hilly classics.

Stage races are not his Cup of Tea.

Peaked for Strade?
Next peak will be for the Ardennes, so perhaps he is just in between of two peaks.

He peaked for his 2nd only race in 2013. Right...

No worries yet, he's still sooo young. Consistency will come.

Every great rider in the world has (short) periods in which he doesn't get great results, nothing unusual here. There's no reason for Moser to be in top shape right now anyway. Also, it's not even been a month since Moser's last victory...So, calm down, bro!

I haven't seen the race today. How was Moreno? Hard to say by looking at the results.

I didn't see much of him. Could be his form isn't that good, on the other hand maybe he's just lying in wait so as to come into LBL as an underdog. Hopefully the latter.

If he's not there at the front during AGR I'll start to worry...FW isn't one for him, LBL is the last hope :(

Told ya weeks ago he wasn't looking good. I'm really worried. These ones should be the most important races of the first part of his season. He didn't work a bit for Sagan so that's not an excuse today.

The worst ist that other teams were doing Cannondale and BMC job for whole race and they just could not chase no single one attack in the end. I was waiting all the time for Moser at least to try to bridge those attackers. When I saw Cunigo flying alone with nobody f..g cared, I know race was over for Sagan. If Sagan had had the lags there, he would have started bridging by himself.
It looks the race was too long for Moser and too long for todays Sagan as well.
