Going to be in Munich on 14 December. Bayern are playing Hamburg and I am thinking about going along (only so much Xmas Markets a man can take on a long weekend:eek:). Prefer not to commit to a ticket in advance so what are the chances of getting one on the day anyone? Cheers.

I wouldn't know for sure, but with the game at the Allianz, I think it would be difficult to get one on match day itself. That will sell out for a game like that and if anyone was selling a ticket individually outside the ground, it probably will be like gold dust. That's just my opinion, I maybe wrong at the same time.

Speaking of Germany, the Dortmund-Munich game at the weekend is the pick of the games around Europe. It's a must win for Dortmund because if Munich win they will go 7 points clear and it would likely be another procession to the title again. Munich just aren't slipping up against the lesser sides at the moment. A big few days for Dortmund as they are playing Napoli a few days later in the Champions League and that is even more of a must win game. The have to do a repeat of what they did last month when they beat Arsenal at the Emirates and then Schalke in the derby the weekend after.

I don't think it's up for debate at the moment who the best player in the world is.

Ronaldo is playing better now than he ever was beforehand and that's saying something.

Yes he is rocking it at the moment. I'd so much love to see him back at ManU where he would be much more of a challange to Messi when it comes to the Balon D'Or. By staying in La Liga, he is doomed to finish behind Barcelona every year, and that sure influences decisions.

Also too bad the voting closed saturday. What a performance it was today.

Agree with the point regarding the rivalry with Barca. There's even some suggestions that Ribery will finish ahead of him also which I don't think he deserves. He's played a big part in Bayern's success but it's really more based on a collective team basis than any one outstanding individual.

Ronaldo could easily finish 3rd.

That'd be very frustrating but it might go like that.

Ronaldo is usually seen as an arrogant fella, and is known not to be very keen in the European club scene. Votes are made by journalists, team captains and coaches. That may well go against Ronaldo.

I think Ribery will win, Messi wil second and Ronaldo third. This is likely the last and only chance for Ribery to win the Ballon D'or, and the voters will take that into account.

Proud supporter of Everton F.C.

ManU i was too mainstream ;)

I'd simply like to see him play where he can achieve the most.

Well, Dortmund's entire (read: entire) defense is injured, so that certainly helps.....

(Piszczek - Hummels - Subotic - Schmelzer)

The Friedrich signing in the circumstances is a no brainer.

Great ending to the Cardiff-United game. Rooney messed up big time after being put through by Giggs in injury time. It was a fair result but United were far from impressive with Fellaini and Cleverley anonymous. In Fellaini's case, he is not, not a United player and they signed the wrong type of midfielder in him. Whittingham was head and shoulders above them today. I know they tried to sign Fabregas but not signing a midfielder of that type is coming back to haunt them and will cost them a challenge for the league. They just don't control midfield well enough these days in terms of possession.

As for Spurs. LOL.

That period between the first and second Man City goals was us in a nutshell this season, we must have had 65% possession for 30 odd minutes and didn't look threatening.

Half time and it's 0-0 in San Mames Barria. Athletic Club are undefeated in the new Cathedral, Barcelona have only dropped two points all season. Interesting battle developing.

edit:
... MUNIAIN!!!

edit 2:
... 3 minutes' injury time, can we hold on?! nailbiting stuff here...

edit 3:
...BACALAAAAAAOOOOO!!!! End of Barcelona's unbeaten run, 1-0 in San Mames Barria! Athletic! Athletic! Zu zara nagusia! Up into the Champions' League spots!

AVB had a go at the dailymail guy in his presser after the match.

It's the fan's fault, the media' fault, it's everyones but his own. Just like it was the senior players at Chelsea. Losing Bale or not, he still spent 107m and he can't be deflecting the poor performances of the likes of Soldado and Lamela on to others. I can't understand the thinking behind some of the signings. They first signed Paulinho and already had Sandro but still decided to go buy Capoue. He's a good player but he wasn't needed. I told a Spurs fan friend of mine that Soldado when he first signed, is a decent finisher but his all round game and link up play isn't the best. If he's not scoring goals, his influence is near non-existent which is the polar opposite to the likes of RVP, Rooney, Suarez, Aguero and Sturridge when they don't score. It was a different type of striker they needed and one which can bring their attacking midfield players more into play. Defoe does the Soldado job anyway and maybe not getting Champions League football hindered their prospects of buying one, but I wouldn't pay nowhere near the money they paid Valencia to get him. Why didn't the get a left back? Rose and Fryers are OK but this was an area in urgent need of addressing.

Great game. Great atmosphere too.

The first time in 7 yrs they beat them and I thought when Toquera missed his header to make it 2-0, it was going to come back to haunt them. A bit lucky that Iturraspe wasn't sent off, but who cares, the result is all that mattered in the end and it has delivered a real impact in the title race.

The League needed it.

I'm curious - is this an exclamation of victory, or meant to taunt the losing side? I only know it as a fish :)

In Brazil today, they are saying Arsenal had a bid of 8m euros for Pato rejected. That link has been consistent over the last number of weeks and isn't going away. Corinthians did say they would sell, but he hasn't done much as of late and was a fair bit injured at Milan.

It's an interesting one.

In fairness to AVB whilst he has deflected blame from himself in the past after the Man City game he did say it was his and the players fault, it was the media reporting it as him blaming just others again which made him say what he did yesterday, the League Cup verge of the semi finals was a bit odd.

I'll side with anyone over Sugar tbh.

Yeah, to be fair, I just seen the video of it and Neil Ashton wrongly tried to separate AVB's criticism solely to the players.
