Completely agree with the comment regarding criticism. However Mourinho has had continued success from when he took over Porto. He's won league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain as well as domestic cup competitions in each of those countries. Champions league titles with 2 clubs and a UEFA cup with Porto.
Whilst I know he does have flaws and is not everyone's cup of tea there is a reason most Man United fans I know, and I know a great deal of them from my age group, are absolutely desperate for Mourinho to take over at Old Trafford.

Completely agree with the comment regarding criticism. However Mourinho has had continued success from when he took over Porto. For mourinho winning league titles was like winning TDF's for Lance Armstrong. Piece of cake considering you have superior resources to everyone else.

It is not like Chelsea racked up titles in the years in between Mourinho's spells at the club, despite possessing the same financial muscle. And although Real Madrid won the CL the year after he left, Mourinho did take them to the semis three years on the trot after getting eliminated in the round of 16 six years in a row before he arrived. He obviously lost the team this year and did a thoroughly poor job, but I don't think you can attribute his successes all to money.

Hitch most managers now win trophies because they have access to massive budgets and are able to buy the best players. That is part and parcel of modern football. Very rarely do clubs win trophies without lots of money to spend and aren't one of the big favourites to win, yet he's done it twice with Porto and Inter.
Yes you mention league titles but how many teams were domestic champions (in a top league) last year that did not spend big? If anyone could do it then why didn't Rogers or Moyes win a title after they had successful spells previously at Swansea and Everton. Van Gaal is proving to be a failure too and he had lots of money to spend.
Leicester are the only team that are at the top of a major league that buck this trend, however I still doubt they will win the league and it will probably go to either Man City or Arsenal. Again 2 clubs with great players who have money to spend. even Arsenal spent big on Ozil and Sanchez.

In his early years you could see that his teams liked to keep the ball, as in, he played offensive football based on a very high possession rate, like Barcelona or Bayern. As time went by, he became obsessed with results and changed his approach to tactics. His teams began to display lower possession in favour of counter attacks. This was clearly the case with Inter and Real Madrid, but it became evident in Chelsea. The thing is, he had really good players who could dribble anyone or were very creative/fast. Eto'o, Sneijder, Ronaldo, Modric, Benzema, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Fabregas.
Hazard himself last year had a clash with Mourinho. They discussed that Chelsea's football was a piece of crap and that Mourinho had them play an ugly football, which was stupid since he had a pretty good squad.
