Disaster class by Bora  . A bit surprising after the TTT and the general perfomance in other races like Australia and first day of Besseges
Yes was suprised as well. All other races so far the team raced pretty pretty convincing.

Vlasov loses almost 2 min on a climb against Buitrago!? VERY suprising...almost like he is not feeling well or someting.
Also Hindley...1:11min..puuh. Expected a better Hindley this year!

Hindley a bit better today, he was able to stay with the best. Vlasov lost contact, I think 1,5 km before the end of the climb. I´m looking forward to a statement of the riders or the officials.

I expected a bit more of them, but I´m not worried at all. In the next weeks the climbers of the team do have more races to show their form. If Pellizzari at the UAE Tour, Roglic at Algarve and the climber(s) how will ride routa del sol are also not performing then I´ll start to get worried.

Tomorrow is another tough climbing stage if Hindley is performing like today and stays all day with the best, then its already a positiv sign for Hindley.

I think in March we will know a lot more.

First classic of the season is in the books.
Mullen did his job in the first 140 km, Meeus was also there as a domestique and tried to position the van Dijckes and Tratnik and ended the race after 160 km.
Lazkano was caught up in the "crash"/stand still befor a cobbled climb (don´t know which one it exactly was). This can happen, but why was he so far back in the peloton in such a crucial situation?
The van Dijcke brothers were very active and present the whole race. Adria was always there, the same for Tratnik until he got a flat tire short before the last Helling of the day. Overall a ok start to the season.
In the end Meeus should have been the rider, but I think everyone was expecting a more selective race. The headwind seems to block a lot of action.

All in all I think they were more present in the races then they were for the last two years. Obvious that they have more talent now. I liked what I saw from the van Dijcke brothers. Meeus was a bit of a dissapointment on sunday I would say.

Hajek, Pellizzari, Aleotti, Roglic and Sobrero in altitude training camp on teneriffe. I think i read somewhere about Wandahl too, but I´m not 100 % sure. Looks like the Giro squad is now doing a preparation together. Suprised that Hajek is on the list as possible Giro participant. Or maybe just a coincidence and Hajek is preparing for other races? Do you know of someone else?

I dont think it is the Giro team which is in Teneriffe.
Hindley, Martinez and Tratnik will all ride the Giro 100% and neither of them is with them in Teneriffe. I also wonder who will be the last rider, whether it will be one more mountain domestique or someone for the hilly/flat stages. Personally I think I would add one more real mountin domestique, because I think Wandahl, Sobrero and Tratnik would work for the flat and hilly stages.

Who do you think will be the leader of the Paris - Nice Team? In Winter it was communicated that one of Lipo's goals is Tirreno... but now he starts here and I am just wondering if this means there is a clear leader role between him and Vlasov
