After the Vuelta and his current showing at Paris - Nice:

Is Lipowitz already Boras #2 GC option?

I think yes.
Hindley hasn`t looked good since Tirreno 24.
Vlasov will never be more then a GT Top 10 rider (which is ok).
Martinez goes hot and cold like crazy

In my opinion yes, although I have the feeling that Hindley is also quite good at the moment, we will see if this it´s true in the mountaintop finish.

GC? Maybe

GT? Not yet.
Well, he finished La Vuelta 7th as helper for Primoz and it seems like he should still have potential to get better as he started with cycling late. He already looked incredible last year on longer climbs. I think he is even better in Grand Tours in relation to shorter stage races. Sadly it looks like he is doing Le Tour instead of the over GTs, otherwise I could have seen him on the podium at the finish line.

Just a little outlook on Hindley tomorrow. Today he was always well positioned and ready to follow the possbile attacks and then he really followed the attack, and was able to stay with the punchy riders.
The climb tomorrow is not steep or not long enough to make big separations. But there will be changes in the GC. What can Hindley achieve if he is showing the climbing legs that I suspect he has after today? He will be able to overtake some riders - but who and how many? Cattaneo, De la Cruz and Gregoire should be possible they are within 20 seconds. Maybe also Ganna?

At first Hindley needs a hard and selective race, that will bring some fatigue into the not so good climbers legs. Good for him is that UAE needs to drop Ganna which should lead to a hard pace. If this is the case I think Hindley should try to follow Ayuso as long as possible - otherwise attack and go for it. It doesn´t matter if HIndley is in 12th or 17th place in the end so not much to loose, but a lot to win.

They should have switched Hindley and Vlasov (obviously not taking his cold into account) for these races. Tirreno this year is way to soft, I don't understand why pure climbers like Hindley and Landa who seem to be in good form are being wasted there.
Meanwhile Lipowitz is in great form and a fantastic position to attack Jorgenson but the team around him is dogshite.

Btw. I just realized that they're still having Anton Palzer on the team. Jesus wept, I thought that marketing project was surely done now that Red Bull actually is the team sponsor. And they're even lining him up for UAE Tour, Strade and now Tirreno (DNS already). Incredible.

Herzog is starting Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali with the U23. Good decision, I´m looking forward on his role there. Is he trying to go for GC and gets the full support of the team or is he tackling one or two stages and trying to get results there?

He was sick after mallorca and the hit his knee at the next race in spain at a crash.
He is trying to get back in shape. He will race more small races this year.

What's up with their Classic squad?
All their recent transfers are struggling. Pithie and Lazkano in particular have been very disappointing so far.
I'm also a bit shocked at how weak the classic team has been so far. Lazkano is unfortunately a total failure, and Moscon hasn't shown anything either. The Van Dijk brothers are okay but not at the level they showed last year. Meeus is okay on the road, we'll see at Roubaix if the timing is right. Pithie also had a lot of bad luck, we'll see where he really stands in the next races.
All in all very disappointing. Especially as things are looking much better for the road department and the riders who are better on the hills.
Nobody expected them to fight for the wins against Van der Poel or Pedersen. But unfortunately most of the riders don't even manage to get into the finals in big groups for top 10 results. Even when there are still large fields on the road. That is worrying. And either you don't want to or you don't have the confidence to at least try something offensive beforehand to at least be present in the race.

Bora became a GC focused team in recent years. It's just about Rog either, i.e. they'd started down that route with Hindley and Vlasov as well. Now Lipowitz is also part of that same plan (he's scheduled to race Itzulia next week and can realistically target a top 5 or even a podium).

The classics teams meanwhile looks like a typical case of throwing some names together and hoping it sticks. Whatever the plan was it hasn't worked out yet.

He worked a lot early on in Tirreno.
That said, with the current cobbles team he might as well ride for himself. Only Lazkano is actually strong and the guy's out of shape atm.
It didn't show in the results but Pithie was very strong in a number of cobble classics last year and you'd expect him to improve further since he's only 22.

I agree on Moscon, he was bought primarily to be a domestique after his good work in the TdF last year.

I was surprised that Quickstep didn' re-sign him after his good work at the Tour. That said, maybe it's because of the Trentino connection via Benedetti.
