So if the pieces haven't yet connected, then there is still some work left to do. I am rather sure that at Tour 2025 this will already be better, then before. Leader in great shape and support stepping up, when needed the most.

Wandahl should call UNO X. Chance is high that they have guaranteed starting places in G/T/V next year so they need climbers. And ofc he's Danish.
As for RedBull, I was a fan from NetApp onwards and of course with the Sagan-saga. They had this eastern Europa profile with riders from Germany, Austria, Poland and Chech republic/Slowakia. But nowadays they want to be an international big money team without the right set up (for now). I'm not a fan anymore.

Note that Slovenia is a part of Central Europe, but still. On top of that they still have riders from Germany, Austria ... youngsters too.
World doesn't evolve around this two riders as much as some would like to make you believe. For example neither of them is riding as a lead for Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe and that says a lot.
Rogla crashed in his last race, and how many were those people? Why should we care about what they said?

I don't quite understand the discussion here. It's not a real discussion because there aren't many arguments being exchanged.
Is it currently possible to win the Tour? If Pogi and Jonas are fit, it's certainly very difficult. And Remco as well. But riders can also drop out, as the Giro has shown.
The team can be more than strong enough. You don't even need to have the best team if you don't have to defend a jersey all the time. Jai, Martinez, Lipo, Guilio, maybe Vlasov. Behind them Aleotti and Zwiehoff. Fisher-Black. The selection for the mountains alone would be more than good enough.
But with all the changes in the last 2 years, it's no longer the Band of Brothers. A strong team structure is important. See Lidl. It has to be clear who is the helper and when, and then you have to give your all in that role.
UAE has shown that this is difficult. Super strong across the board at the Giro but not always 120% commitment to their colleagues.
In theory, a lot is possible in the future if the roles are clear. Unfortunately, theory is not always the same as practice.

Yes I'm a fan of Roglic since his early days but I'm also not delusional. For him to win the Tour at least Pogacar and Vingegaard have to crash out. He was nowhere near those guys last year.
With the Giro and the crashes weighing on the preparation for the Tour I would also expect Remco and Almeida to be better. Roglic is in my eyes not anymore a Top contender to win the Tour and his best days are over. He has a great career and is still a top rider that will win a lot. But at the Tour the number of guys who are better will increase. 2020/2021 was his big shot at winning...

Moncalvillo and Ancares were his single best performances in the mountains, even relative to the rest of the field, so I think the argument for decline is rather weak.
Very obviously Vingegaard and Pogacar are much better, but Rog does get consistently underrated compared to everyone else because he's riding around half injured all the time.

There is IMHO much greater understanding of the tasks involved now, after racing a couple of GTs together. This will in turn further make Rogla much more comfortable, when riding the Tour.

Soberly speaking, Lipowitz might be their best shot at the moment for a top GC result in TdF. Doesnt look like Roglic will finish in the top 5 (if he manages to finish) despite all sympathy for him.

We will have to see how Lipowitz does at the Dauphine.
If Lipo doesn't look great, maybe Bora should think about stage hunting Le Tour instead.
Yeah, been hearing this for a while now. Sign top GT contender and after focus o stage hunting and sprinting at the Tour with other riders, claiming soberness.
