Regarding what people say about Remco. In a Norwegian podcast before tour of Norway one of Ineos DS (Rasch) casually said that Remco struggles with efforts over 15 minutes. So Ineos maybe got surprised yesterday.

Tbh, I don't understand where that idea comes from. What evidence is there to support it? Why would a TT powerhouse also known for his long solo attacks "struggle with efforts over 15 minutes"?Regarding what people say about Remco. They have stated repeatedly he will not be going to the Tour and stick to the original plan, even if Alaphilippe doesn't make it.Maybe covered already but is there a chance he will go to the Tour if Ala is not back in condition?
It’s a wolf thing.Yes, we didn't know it at the time, but he was simply marking his territory.
I think they just watched Evenepoel climb this year, and untnil Norway he had done decidedly better on sub 10 minute climbs than 15 minutes or longer.Hilarious.
What difference is there between pushing 400 watts for an hour in an ITT / solo break or pushing it uphill, unless they thought Stavsro was at 3k altitude or that Evenepoel was still 68kg. lol
Guy got a silver WCC medal in a 65 minute ITT at the age of 19. For a team that is so advanced in the medical department, they didn't think him struggling last year had anything to do with the lack of base due to what had happened? DO THEY NOT READ THIS TOPIC???

Makes sense. Which is equally funny since before Itzulia he supposedly couldn't handle the short steep ones.I think they just watched Evenepoel climb this year, and untnil Norway he had done decidedly better on sub 10 minute climbs than 15 minutes or longer.
Pretty sure that was the excuse when he would get dropped the steeper medium mountains.Makes sense. Which is equally funny since before Itzulia he supposedly couldn't handle the short steep ones.
In conclusion, 2020 never happened.Pretty sure that was the excuse when he would get dropped the steeper medium mountains.
Remco is a great rider but a arrogant and a dirty sportsman
Bouwman took the normal lane though a curve and he just got there first. Schmid had to break because he took a dumb line and didn't even get to the apex first.imagine if the roles were reversed…?
You and others would have totally taken Plapp’s side and complained that Remco was a sore loser raising his hand.
predictable.
note: if Baumann’s move yesterday was not considered illegal then this CERTAINLY was not. Lol!!
There was more than enough space to the right.Remco is a great rider but a arrogant and a dirty sportsman

Too bad that he doesn't ride the Tour given the shape he is in and it would fit better than the Vuelta as he would have more time to prepare the World Championships
I'd put him in the Tour without presure…
hmm. I thought riders targeting the WC usually rode the Vuelta.
True, but he needs to get used to it. Let's see after ToS, if his form is really good then they'd be stupid not to. Plus it would do him well to experience the tts and climbs against the best. That would not even be in the realm of possibility, however.
