His constant trolling and baiting is tiresome, and if he has been using the same style on the same people here and on twitter... while baiting with things like "hey, I know your real life name and there is nothing you can do about it"

Again, I wouldnt do it myself. But its not hard to imagine how someone else would.

That cuts both ways. If someone has a dispute on the forum then it should be left on the forum. It should not be carried over to twitter, and if it is the person should not expect protection. You are treating this like the twitter account in question is not intertwined with a forum dispute. Martin Vickers made the forum dispute and the twitter dispute one and the same.

But they didn't - not here.

Even if there is a dispute - it should not be brought here.
And again, Digs post was not revealing a tweet or opnion posted by MV, it was asking was Martin the person running the account.

This is a nasty piece of work who wants his acts cloaked in secrecy.

For all we know, he could be interacting a lot on a more personal level which have nothing got to do with cycling and sport. On this reason, his right is to be protected, even if you suspect it might be MartinV.

Digger has no problem mentioning things to the forum on what happens in his twitter account. Richard Moore threatening to sue him was the most recent one. It's near entirely on doping in cycling. The twitter account that was mentioned now has never been brought to this forum's attention and not by a poster who says that it's his account.

Digger is trying to pull the wool over our eyes by saying he didn't know it was a real name on the handle. He knows what happened with Parker and himself and he knows the rules full well in this area. His motives were a lot more calculating. He knew what he was doing.

I had a ban, some time ago, for describing 'actions' that way - I was quite careful not to call Susan herself that.

My thinking, on both counts. Hard to imagine the latter (b)), but perhaps in fairness to BroDeal, we should allow the possibility, and let the mods do Ip checks and what have you to confirm...
