What the... [insert profanity of your own choice] is vortexing?

When you say you "have" to ask, does that mean that someone else is making you ask? Or are you suggesting some long-term, negative effects if you don't receive an answer? I'm just trying to understand your question.
To the part in red:
Why didn't you just insert a profane remark yourself? Are you trying to bait one of us into inserting a profanity so that we will get banned?

Are you implying that RHD isn't posting independently when you're asking her if someone else is making her to ask? To be more precise, are you saying she's a sockpuppet?
Or are you saying that she has some sort of disorder when you're mentioning the long-term effects?
Are you trying to lead her into accusation that would lead to banning by asking about profane remark?
You have to be clear if you want precise answers.
If you post your comment on a public forum, then you can expect a response not just from the poster to whom you've answered, but from every member of the board.Granville57 said:To the bolded:
My response wasn't directed at you, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't attempt to derail this conversation. If you wish to debate the issue of your involvement in the discussion further, then I suggest you take it to the Sidebar thread.
To the part in blue:
You might want to work on your grammar.
You probably meant to say "an" accusation, or accusations.
I'm also assuming you meant to say, "a" profane remark, or profane remarks. Which is it?
If you're going to get pedantic with me, you might want to sharpen your game.
podunavac said:Your insisting on the grammar unveils that you're not interested in the content of a post. Also, it unveils your cultural intolerance, 'cause being a member for such a long time should have tought you that forum membership is culturally and linguistically quite diverse, and that you have to be prepared for lingual flaws in posts.

I was telling myself that I felt the need to ask the question even if the rest of you probably thought I was being really dumb.
Answer to the red:
I was gonna just write f***, but then I figured that it was sorta unimaginary. What if some of you would rather use a... say... Chinese... profanity?
I can't find the answer...

Is vortexing proper to CN-Forum, or is it something that with time occurs on any forum? Being a 309 member of this forum I must say this term has only become relevant rather recently. In the early days I do not recall any mentioning of it, though the practice may have already existed, and people may also already have talked about it. But it was certainly nowhere near as popular a phrase as it is now.
I remember one user posted the "circle of life" of a forum a while ago, which I thought was really interesting. I do not have a lot of experience with internet forums, but I am inclined to believe that vortexing is a natural process in any forum. Can't wait 'til "the good vortex" hits veloshrooms, if it hasn't already![]()

That goes for everyone else as well. We don't need this thread spiraling down the vortex like so many others.
