Several papers are questioning this new myth.

if sky continue to keep the power output data for themselves, the only pseudoscientific claim is the claim that froome is clean.

You have to watch next week! Pleeeeeasssse. The Dawg is going to go off the charts!

the Dawg could become a doping legend this tour
Climb like Armstrong - check
Destroy the TT - check

Now he just needs to do a Riis somewhere, sub 38 minutes on Alpe, and do a Vino on champs elysees

What happened today? I couldn't watch but haven't read anything about froome doing something special?

He was up there with the sprinters and finished 14th. So he was just checking out the speed, ready for the final day sprint.

I want to see him take on Kittel, Sagan, Greipel, and Cavendish directly, and outsprint them all to the line on the Champs.

don't worry, next year they'll teach you that power to overcome air resistance does not increase linearly

You are giving him too much credit. I don't think he is even in preschool.

He still imagines that there is magic that goes on in wind tunnels which allows you to violate physics. It makes sense if you don't think about it.

i'm in kindergarten

the fact that a 3-4y old can see the ridiculous nonsense in these threads should ring some alarm bells.

stuff like "sport paper X has calculated rider Y wattage is Z on a flat stage" is so stupid that if you come with this i can't help you, i would have to teach you math and physic from first school class.

<snip>

And yet here you are coming back and posting time and time defending a rider who came form nowhere with a blood disease that miracolously doesn't affect the rider during extreme tests of endurance, ie a GT and he is able to put minutes into specialists climbers and TT with the best in the world.

Yes you are right it is ridiculous to believe this guy can do this clean.

i believe in all winners until proved cheaters

i think the capabilities of the human body and mind are something so big that there is nothing today to scientifically border it's limits

Naivette at it's best - obviously not educated in the concept of scientific rigour.

Congratulations on becoming a "Senior Member" in 12 days (or less) - You may have even beaten "Laura Lynn" for the fastest-ever ascent of the CN Forums membership ladder......

Harley, not long discovered you mate. So do you reckon a guy could ride TDF on just Fruit ?

I suspect thats what Froome is doing. He looks like a fruitarian and pedals like one - smooth and can always push harder.

Fruit diet is the ultimate performance diet. Thing is logistics. Try feeding 9 riders 7-10 000calories a day of ripe fruit.

Reality is the worlds best athletes get most of their calories from simple sugars. Fruit is the most nutrient dense source of simple sugars.

I rode 6190km in Jan. More climbing than the TDF. Not a SINGLE mg of caffeine or any other stimulant. Recovered each day strong as. Rode with a power meter and did testing before and after. Put a fruitarian rider on the peptide,EPO, BB and hormones that our GC hitters are and you will see the next evolution of cyclist/runner.

Fruit diet INSTANTLY increases anyones watts per kg as it is so low in sodium and high in potassium you hold less salt retention. Froome could lose more weight if he was fruitarian. Hold the same wattage. Id say at least 3-4kg.

Wouldn't eating a massively low energy density/high fibre diet cause errm other problems ... ;)
