That video seems to be good evidence that Lance did come clean. She is not fat but she definitely is crazy. In fact she appears to be a lunatic. That Betsy hospital statement seems quite far fetched as does some of the allegations by Floyd regarding the Team Bus breaking down and some of Hamilton's statements. But then again Floyd and Tyler both do have medical mental health issues. Betsy has always come across as crazy and not believable. Just because Lance is liar does not suddenly make many of these people sane or trustworthy. This video just adds more evidence to the contention that she is nuts.

I'm with you. I also think Lance might be lying about his doping just to make everyone else feel better. Because he a good guy. A humanitarian.

He did say he was clean at the races, then confirmed Motoman, then said he couldn't remember the coke can story, then said there were no out of competition testing and then the Bio-passport saved the world, the said at races it was never in your system.

And it's not cancer. It's a diesese.

I think by clean he meant "wouldn't test positive", since she was asking about the relative risk of his doping. So the question wasn't "were you cheating during the race" but rather "were you afraid you would be caught by the testing". So with no test this is true for motoman, and true for the blood doping.

I'd like to know about the cortizone positive in 99 though. What went wrong there?

@ Around 2 minutes the same sort of stuff, cycling suddenly changed 5 years ago. Biological passport etc made it almost impossible to cheat etc etc. Even though Ashenden said that you can still dope today without being caught. Makes me worry about greenedge.

Yeah, that's complicated. As hog noted he did say he was clean at the races, so that's a fine point, but he clearly said in the SCA deposition that he never took performance enhancing drugs. So you're right, there must be something more than just perjury for himself, perhaps as RR's tweet suggests it's because others lied for him under oath... but still, why refuse to talk about the hospital room incident?

I think RaceRadio has it bang on, he's trying to protect Oakley, who its rumoured suborned perjury by coercing Stephanie to Lie.

That's a big problem for a public company if its true and it comes out.

I think she realised she got played a second time. He phoned her for 40 minutes just so he could say at the interview he called her. He used the "fat" angle as a backhanded compliment.

While I agree with your conclusion, I disagree regarding his motive. I actually did not expect him to come clean regarding the Andreu incident, simple because he cannot without facing a jail sentence.

He's already admitted perjury. He is trying to protect Oakley, and also the doctors who lied under oath and then got a $500k cancer donation from Lance's foundation.
