He lost one of his chickens to a fox. I suppose it took its toll out of him.
Nacer's revenge? :D :D :D

Nacer gets revenge on Pinot, because he dislikes Demare?
That would be a bit mean...
Nacer dislikes FDJ...the Tour was very close to Melisey...was a bike with bent handlebars spotted anywhere near the scene of the crime?

And you didn't like the other conspiracy theory (with Démare) ;)

Bouhanni doesn't strike me as the fox taming type (it was said that a fox was the culprit), though...

Good start and then lights out...bad day for Tibopino. Far from his Giro form. can he get better? I hope so...yikes.

Just not in the league of true climbers like Majka. He really shouldn't have been outclimbed on a HC mountain by a sprinter.

He's lucky Demare saved FdJ's Tour, but I can't see the team getting any kind of success from now on.

Unfortunately, yes. Hopefully he'll be able to recover from his injuries and contend for the win in the Vuelta. He should still be able to have better GT results this season than Pinot.

He is another john gadret. His 2014 podium was the best he could achieved in the tour.

... because all the other riders that rode the Giro for GC are doing so well...

Too tired from the Giro to do anything, even stagehunting or going for the polka dot jersey seems to be beyond him.

Maybe next year.

Please, Quintana is also struggling and below the expectations. It was a hard giro, that's normal. Maybe next week he'll try again.

Talking about 2014 is ridiculous, since he clearly showed in the Giro he can do really well.

Hard giro? The first week was a walk in the park until blockhaus. The second week only the time trial was really hard. Oropa was a 15 min effort.
Today pinot showed he can't compete in the tour. Pathetic performance, he can't even follow a peloton with 50 riders in the hogh mountains

No need to spread your nonsense everywhere.

Not every rider is like Adam Hansen. Pinot didn't recover from the Giro, it's pretty obvious. He did well on 3rd week of the Tour before.

I'd say he is more than tired!

He just can't hold anybody's wheel. That is not normal for a rider his caliber.

Clearly the Giro was very hard. Almost everyone who did it is exhausted - I mean it didn't take a genius to work that out, in the final week everyone was dead on their feet.

Why is he always sick in July?

The sad thing is that Madiot wants Pinot to skip il Giro d'Italia next year. How dumb is that?

The proof is in the pudding: see Quintana. Tough and hot Giro, no way to recover. Pinot's bet was to save energy and have a chance when others reserves get depleted. It made some sense. But then, why even come. Thibaut was clearly not recovered...People who hint that he was racing this Tour at his true level are clueless.

@alexandre: not "always" in poor form in July: see '12, '14, and even '15 where bad luck struck on stage 3, 4, 5...

"Poor form" is not "sick" :p

Seriously, he was dropped before Bouhanni today. Is it bronchitis again?
