Yates ITT skills - I want to see how Durbridge performs in the ITT - Had a surprise victory over Dennis in the Nationals, though he does prefer a longer ITT - Durbo does a top 5 and it could be due to more effective equipment.

GVA had to launch from 500 meters, could've had a bigger shot at this if he was in a better position. But QuickStep was incredible again. If Alaphilippe didn't make it (and dragged Cimolai along that much), Viviani would've won it anyway.

Tomorrow's TT is really going to be something. Apart from some Sky guys, all the best TT'ers in the world are present in this race. My money is on Stefan Küng because I was shocked that Dennis didn't win the Australian Nationals.

Ganna is in tremendous form too after the Worlds on the track. He mopped the floor with everyone earlier in Provence.
as usual, at this time of the year, and he still didn't finish any better than 23rd and 28th so far ;).

But to be fair, the Pinarello is probably a better TT bike, and he should do a bit better at least.

Interestingly low power numbers in fact, a sign of a messy approach and sprint. Also probably influenced by the slight gradient, forcing riders to sustain quite high power numbers in a way that made it hard to get the very high max power numbers you see when bunch sprinters really accelerate.

Fuglsang is such a question mark for me tomorrow, his TTs are hot and cold...... he looks in great shape, but would definitely prefer a more technical route.

I am also wondering what the short distance means, in terms of the specialists..... is it to their advantage or the contrary? - I should think the latter, as their speciality is maintaining high speed, for a long time...... But then, looking at the route, there are 3 corners on the entire route, the rest is dead straight and flat as a pancake..... which swings it back to the specialists.

Dennis, Dumoulin, Küng, Van Emden, Roglic and Campenaerts.

High danish hopes for the Kraghen and Mads P.

Lets hope a rider who actually completed the whole course and didn't skip the final two laps of stage 2 wins the TT.

I still don't think how someone who goes full out can lose 25 seconds on a 10k course, even Quintana or Dan Martin. That's basically a prologue.

They can, easily. Just look at previous results for this race.

An example: Last year, Landa lost 50 seconds to Kwiatkowski and Froome, 1:10 to Dennis. Before the stage, Landa was third on GC.
