Bernal taking it easy after that crash. Most Ineos riders were gone from the front!
Van der Poel got lucky with that early celebration
No mistakes from him today. He is on fire!
This is the second sprint of the day DQS messed up.
He's the king of the hill! That was arrogant
Yes, no Ineos rider under the first 31 riders. Thomas, Bernal and Sivakov lost time today?Bernal taking it easy after that crash. Most Ineos riders were gone from the front!
Vermeersch was involved in the crash, so it's likely that van der Poel was held up a bit as well.Wout clearly riding with the GC in mind. Did anyone see why van der Poel suddenly was more to the back around the 2km mark?
BTW, nice victory move.

Yeah, for a minute it looked like he may have messed it up again as he was well back on the left and looked like he risked being blocked again, then suddenly he made a little effort and was on Wout's wheel. The amount of effort required to get to the front from halfway back in the pack, follow WvA chasing Stybar and then beat everyone in the sprint must have been insane.
Yep. When you're clearly the best there's nothing wrong with showing it. It's boring otherwise. He's the king of the hill!
I love it, and I'm not a fan. It must be awesome to have this shape and put them all to the sword, seemingly with ease. You're only king of the hill for a short time in life, so you better enjoy it, and MvdP seems totally aware of that.

Moving up through the group so easily like that when they were clearly pushing the pace was extremely impressive.Yeah, for a minute it looked like he may have messed it up again as he was well back on the left and looked like he risked being blocked again, then suddenly he made a little effort and was on Wout's wheel.
Come on. In that case all of Sagan's early career celebrations should be seen as arrogant too. That was arrogant
PCS says:My cq points!
Hmm...If he lets MvdP chase, maybe he secures a win and 10 boni seconds or at the worst he comes in second behind Stybar and again secures 6 boni seconds like he actually did in real life. There's also a nightmare scenario, where he would let MvdP chase, but Mathieu wouldn't chase and than beat him in a sprint for second so he gains only 4 boni seconds. But I don't think the latter scenario is realistic and belongs more in the "Slight miss from me. Move along." thread. He did secure the 6 boniseconds with his action though. If he wasn't going for GC this week, he probably wouldn't have closed the gap himself.
And they were seen as such by a lot of forum users.Come on. All Sagan's early career celebrations should be seen as arrogant too.
I have always thought that Sagan is arrogantCome on. In that case all of Sagan's early career celebrations should be seen as arrogant too.
