And I don't think it requires unreasonable restraint to freaking wait entering the forum until you're caught up!

I mean, I would never dream of going into the forum if I was planning on catching a race later.

I mean, in an ideal world, sure, we could all be more careful, but are we now going to start banning people who haven't read this particular discussion if they were to mistake one thread for the other or allude to something happening in a different race? Which would happen all the time, and is exactly why I just choose not to enter the forum in such a case...
Look, it's just about being courteous. We're a community and we're generally nice to each other. I've been here since the beginning and this has ALWAYS been respected for the most part and every once in awhile there is a reminder as forum users come and go.

Obviously we can't all always watch races live, especially when there are multiple races going on at once or when you live in an area of the world that makes it impossible due to work. And what many do is watch later and load up the race thread and read the comments as they watch. I've been doing this for over a decade and 95% it's safe because in general we're a courteous lot.

I appreciate the fact that this unofficial rule has always been respected.
