Ok. Was asking, because wIth the covid 19, he might actually be held back by his DS. The advised return from covid is very slow. In slovakia, we had two biatlonists who rushed their return after recovering from very mild covid 19 a they basically ruined all their winter season, so precautions are probably good idea.
That does not mean he will be competitive in MSR, that is probably impossible and he'll be glad to have some kind of shape in Ronde or even a week later in Roubaix.

I doubt van Aert had done more road races in total. The past 2 years, sure.

Other than that, i agree. Van Aert is the more versatile road racer, but not overall, including different disciplines like MTB.
