It's windy today, but it's not that cold and it's not that wet--mostly showers at this point. Last year was a torrential cold and windy downpour all day.

Ooh, can we get some big crosswinds? I'd love to see some echelons form today.

Since the thread with Andy and Jacob's picture is closed, I'll have to post it here:

Andy was probably thinking: "Huh - PodiumLook. Wonder what that is. Imma have to google that when we get back!"

Anyways - only 15 minutes til Eurosport starts the coverage of today's stage

This Amgen tracker is a pretty cool set up.

Yep, it is awesome.

I wish Versus would get one of these going online for every race they cover. Last year they had one for the TdF but it worked poorly. Hell, I would happily pay for the access, then i could even watch at work!

The 4th Grand Tour is a complete tv no show!
Can't deal with a bit of rain.
Eurosport on, but live coverage cancelled. On and off in 2 minutes.
The 1st Grand Farce more like.
Pathetic.

Oh that sucks. It's raining, but it's not that bad out here. My tracker is showing nothing at the moment.

2 minutes coverage on eurosport today of California.
Well, at least the move means there's less rain and more tv images, oh wait.

Wow, isn't this ironic.

Eurosport is not covering the Fourth Grand Tour live (because of bad weather, what a joke) so now they show a repeat from earlier today of a stage from an actual Grand Tour (which, ironically, also had horrible weather, and has had for the last 3 days).

No offense, but for me, making a special effort to stay up and watch this race for the first time, all I can say is: Amgen ToC = EPIC FAIL.

Strewth.

They won't race cars in the rain, and looks like they don't do TV in the rain either.

Bummer.:mad::confused:

From the Giro's live coverage, today.
I guess it shows the difference between hype and substance, experience and inexperience.

I've already lost interest in this sideshow. Put it back to February, where it served it's purpose.

Must make some of our US posters embarrassed.

They can do torrential Giros and ash-clouded Amstels, but a bit of Californian rain is too much? Come on!

How do they have this same exact problem all over again?? Wth....

Must make some of our US posters embarrassed.

Yah I am embarrassed to share this gigantic country with a company who can't broadcast in a drizzle... huh..

PS. I am so tired of seeing the cancer lady commercial!!

You can't tell me that in 2010 they can't feed video from motos to the media centre!

So we are getting a repeat of what was universally acknowledged here yesterday as one of the most boring day's racing this season instead of some actual action and nasty weather and climbs?

More like... Amgen Tour of Caliborenia, am I right guys? Huh? Am I right?

Yup, my question, too. Where?
The Amgen black screen is what I've got.
Has the volcanic ash hit California, making it a no fly zone?

OK, stage 1 is back
I couldn't stick watching that twice.
It's a total no show. Why else would Eurosport bail so quickly?
