Dekker_Tifosi said:Focused on his climbing. If that means losing 1 minute on an easy climb as La Toussiere while there was a group of 15 hanging on, then I don't want to know how he climbs unfocussed
DenisMenchov said:I don`t think Tony Martin rally thinks he can be in TdF TOP 10, maybe he oversaw a 0.
Being beaten by a 4 times national champion and ex-world champion? Hardly.Midnightfright said:I think judging by todays performance there must be a real worry for HTC that Tony will get dropped in the TTT. They had better not let cav sit on the front for too long or Tony could lose crucial time in his GC bid
ITTs are going extinct, so if Martin focused too much on his climbing that'll only improve his top 10 chances. Problem is, it hasn't looked like that this season.Bavarianrider said:Loosing to Grabsch in an flat TT isn't a shame. especially as Grabsch peaked for this and Tony certainly isn't at 100% yet. But 1 Minute is a little bit too much. I just hope Tony hasn't focused too much on his climbing and lost some power. He wouldn't be the first one who would suffer this. But no time to panic yet. let's wait and see. probably everything is fine and we are worrying for no reason. Probs to Grabsch, superb ride!

Descender said:Here's what happened: HTC and Martin know Cancellara won't be riding the Worlds ITT, so seeing as Grabsch is old and Martin will win the Worlds and thus wouldn't wear the jersey anyway, they let Grabsch win so he could show the national jersey around.
Makes sense, right?
Midnightfright said:You obviously haven't been paying attention to news because apparently Alex rasmussen is a lock for the worlds itt
... if he gets to ride it. I assume their national champion gets a spot, and the obvious other candidate would be Fuglsang.Midnightfright said:You obviously haven't been paying attention to news because apparently Alex rasmussen is a lock for the worlds itt

TeoSheva said:the national champions is Under23, so the spots are two
Midnightfright said:So could an u23 not ride in the worlds itt?
TeoSheva said:usually the ride in the worlds U23 ITT, but I don't know if they can ride in the major ITT
I don't see the problem. U23 riders (agewise) have done the Worlds elite TT before, as have non-pros, so non-pro U23 riders should be able to do so as well.TeoSheva said:usually the ride in the worlds U23 ITT, but I don't know if they can ride in the major ITT
