Tony just said he will continue!
I am suprised. Tomorrow will be a horrible day for him. Maybe leaving the Tour and hoping to recover till London would be smarter?

Guess Tony will leave the Tour now :eek:

I think he dropped because he wanted to be 100% sure not to be involved in a crash again. I don't think he thinks a lot about GC after that crash so why not be safe and take it easy?;)

Well on his homepage he said yesterday that his dream was still to take over yellow after the long TT. That's over now.

That was only ever a dream, before his misfortune.

Off Topic in this forum but it needs a place to be spoken out.
I respect moderators and i know they are important. But this is really getting out of hand in here. One joke or one opinion which they don't like and you get banned. Moderators at times behave more like dictators. If you guys don't watch out the will be huge amounts of cencorship in here soon, and the mods might dictate which opinions are tolerable and which ones are not. Thos forum should stay free, otherwise it's worthless!

I think he is taking a lot of risk, not the best choice looking at the London Olympics :( Hope al goes well, but I am pretty nervous, fingers crossed :(

Tony Martin Discussion Thread

I'm surprised that he doesn't have a thread, well I think he hasn't.

I guess he's not so popular although wiggins also has a thread lol

Anyway Congrats for his his ride in the WC 2012, and he pulled back Contador. I think he's the only guy who can say that ;)

The king of cycling will have a big 2013!
Just wait and see.
2012 was a lost year for Tony! At least the World Titles offeredsomesort of redemption.
Next year will be different, though.
The bad luck will be over. Tie for something big!

Any news about the hand? Last I heard he will be operated after the worlds.

Will he defend the glorious China triumph?

Tony announced his plan for next year! He is thinking about the Tour GC!!!

As usual he will start with Paric Nice and Pays Vasco.
If he fairs well there, he will have a go at the Tour GC!!!!
If not he will once more concentrate on the TT and try to lose some weight after the season. (Which would be a horrible idea in my opinion, as he wouldonly lose his power!

This year he will go to China again.

In all honesty, I think Tony Martin should shift his focus to the cobbled classics.
PR is a great title to have..on par with a GT in the sense of publicity and prestige. Unless the parcour is even milder in a future TdF, he will always have problems in the mountians.
