Tour de Belgique - May 26-May 30

Page 3 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
You'd think the Tour of Belgium would go around more of, well, Belgium. 3 (almost 4) stages basically in the same place.

Can't find maps of years past, but to the Belgians on the forum: Do they ever run a stage across the south of Flanders or more than one stage in Wallonia?

It was a nice sprint from Kenny, he picked a good wheel and kicked at the right time.

Yup. Kicked at the perfect time.

Bozic really disappointed though. Got set off perfectly (his Vacansoleil lead out man was already raising his hands in victory with 200m to go) but started fading rather quick when they hit that little ramp to the finish. Maybe he misjudged the gradient and went too soon?

Looks like there is going to be another sprint finish...as much as I like Kenny van Hummel I have a feeling Bozic may take this one to redeem himself from yesterday...

I didn't see...was it a crazy finish? No team took control?

Saur took over with about 2km to go and finished it off. Steegmans went early and looked good but started to fade in the last 100m. Kenny was 6th BTW

A Skil rider, Vissers I think, caused quite a major crash within the last 3km. A lot of people went down, about half the Lotto team were among the victims. Freire was also doing something weird. Within the last kilo or so he got involved phyically three times with other riders... Don't know whether it was all the same guy.
