Imagine if Alberto hadn't lost those 75 seconds on stage one.

And the seconds in the team time trial. But Alas. Let's just hope he wins the time trial to salvage his Tour...

And Cadel the three seconds he took today... Don't agree with the timing at the end. They're removing all incentive of sprinting to the line.

Evans FTW. Evans should make sure the UCI x-ray A Schlecks' bike in case the mechanic accidentally gives him Cance's bike. A Schleck to fall off his bike in tears when he realizes that he lost by 8 seconds. But in a few weeks, Andy to proclaim that he is the rightful winner of the Tour.

This is my first post to this forum

TT winners
1.- Evans
2.- Andy
3.- Contador

Thanks to Contador we'll talk about this Tour 2001 for ever and ever.

until to the day he beguin attacking , it was an absolute parade, he woke up Andy, Voeckler and Evans....and pull out of them agressivity and sprit for competivetity and the same stands for alll the pack behind it was revolutioned....each stage was a fight and delitious to see, no Siesta-Tours ( spanish time) any more for the last eight days
I'm sure GC organizators will fight to have him participate on their events
P.D sorry for my english  but not for being a devoted Contador fan ;) from Barcelona ;)

In saying that he would have rode differently if hadn't lost that time.

Contador has oftenly lost time on the first week of the grand tours and I've just got something to say about it: It's a 3 week tour!!! You need to be good allround, if you can't manage the first week and keep your head cool and always be in the good places, that can happen. It's a skill

The guy has won 6 grand tours. Maybe he would have won more if he had the benefit of your advice.

A Contador in top form would've made up the lost time no problemo.

Giro - Tour double is simply incredible hard to achieve. Together with multiple crashes it's impressive he's gonna end up on place 4-6.

Conventional wisdom clearly says that Evans should be able To gain enough time to take yellow but fornsome reason I have a gut feeling that schleck will hold on. as he said himself, the yellow jersey gives you wings. It will be very close regardless.

2008 Post-Stage 19 GC:

Carlos Sastre: 82 h 54 m 36 s
Cadel Evans: +1'34"

2008 Post-Stage 20 (52 km ITT):

Carlos Sastre: 84 h 1 m 0 s
Cadel Evans: +1'05"

Only 29 seconds in a longer, flatter time trial.
ANDY HAS A CHANCE!!! GO ANDY!

I'm going to go out on a very long limb and say Contador stands on the third step on Sunday.

Lol. Funny. But true. They should inspect it.

Also funny. Also true.

No matter the result, we'll have a deserving winner!!

And notice, Martin and Cancellara have gone AWOL in the Alps. They're gonna blow everyone out of the water tomorrow, but I think the Canc will win, AGAIN!

Sastre was a better TTer than Schleck though. And he was much better than people gave him credit for. Sastre almost always finished in the top 20 on Grand Tour TTs.

Schleck's better than he's given credit for too. It'll be touch and go.

Of course he beat Andy by 1:57 and Frank by 3:03 that year too.

Canc didn't do much domestique work this tour. Seems his shape just isn't there. Martin also failed miserably. I'm gonna say that this is Garmin's best tour to date and Millar will best Martin and Canc.

Chapeau to you, Jobiwan, for the respect you show all the riders, not just your faves, and their fans. That really is the way to enjoy sport.

Andy and Cadel. Who will be Greg and who will be Laurent tomorrow?

My prediction: Andy will lose yellow by 3". It will be Cadel's lucky day tomorrow.
