Tinkoff backed the wrong horse from the start of the TdF. With the full team in support of Sagan, they may have won three or four stages now and Contador would still probably be top 5 overall.

Which stages would Sagan have won if the team rode for him instead of Contador?

Who knows? But with a full train and proper lead out, it's reasonable to suspect that some of those 2nd places would have been 1st.

The team has done almost nothing to help Contador; because he has been too weak for them to offer any meaningful support.

well, I won't say it would be 100%, but sagan would be definately fresher had he not worked for contador in the early stages, so cobbles e.g. could have been his had he not had to chase for contador. Also, if they rode on sagan in the le havre stage, at least kreuziger could have been there for sagan to chase stybar e.g., etc.

He was beaten fair and square in many stages. A teammate wouldn't have helped him on those occasions. On stage 6, he could have won had there been a teammate in that group, but there wasn't, because they weren't able to be in the first group. That wouldn't be any different if Sagan had been the team leader.
