Lol, no. They were just in poor shape. On the flat they were strong, uphill not, because Basso and Kreuziger were poor.FoxxyBrown1111 said:LaFlorecita said:What did Tinkoff do wrong in the Giro, tactically?FoxxyBrown1111 said:Sky were the anti-tacticans in the past years. But what AST & Saxo did in the Giro and to some extend in this TdF tops that easily... Actually Sky now looks like masters in comparison.
Chasing own riders, chasing breaks in flat stages, and finally have nobody for AC in the 3rd week. They were all kaputt from the first week mishmash...

Bad positioning again... Boxed in. Well, the excitement is back in the Maillot Vert competitionGigs_98 said:Sagan was the fastest although he was in the break...How can he not win a stage? How?

LaFlorecita said:Yeah, because his teammates were in poor shape. Nothing to do with tactics.TMP402 said:Well however he was often isolated, that.

Apparently Coquard's chain fell off.Hayabusa said:Dangerous sprint by Sagan there (looked like him), nearly took out Coquard.

Lack of team mates to help him. He was perfectly placed with about 600m to go on Kristoff's wheel, but Degenkolb pushed him off it and was then able to get onto Greipel after the last corner.
It's pretty hard to defend positions all the time for 4km without any team to support you. He was the fastest finisher as usual, would probably have won if he had got on Greipel's wheel
