So we can't hate on a team cause of their incredible stupid racing? What is that for bs? Movistar are complete idiots and a thread should not be deleted about it

It should when it's whole purpose is hate. Criticism is fine, nothing but hate and insults? Not so much.
What?

Why not? It has always been that insulting riders = Ok. Insulting members = Not ok.

It's more a matter of the thread being a, I quote, "hate thread."

To be honest I did just tune in a little bit ago, could someone inform me to what Movistar did?

Rogers and Contador attacked on Col de la Colle-Saint-Michel and Movistar were chasing.

Contador attacked with Rogers. Instead of letting Sky chase and trying to isolate Froome, they chased it down themselves. Afterwards, Valverde 'attacked', got to Bertie's wheel, then sat there until they were caught by the peloton

Contador attacked with Rogers, Movistar reeled them back almost before Valverde bridged up to Contador, only to sit on his wheel until they were caught.

Contador attackt, first with Rogers than alone. Movistar chased him down, just for Valverde got after him solo 20 meters before they were caught.

Sam Bennett was born in Belgium. Why are so few cyclists actually born in Ireland?

What happened? I wasn't watching
intermediate 'sprint' Sagan and Degenkolb naive and Vaugrenard imbecile
Sagan just didn't want to waste the energy so he was ready to let John win the sprint without any competition I think. But yes, then came the surprise :)

I am SO sick of seeing this f**king Sky train trying to numb the race!!!

And people wonder why they are literally getting pissed on. It's not right, but what does Brailsford expect? He has designed a team that looks and rides a race as though Johan Bruyneel was calling the shots.

Astana did the same in the Giro, no reaction.
They still got their asses kicked, and the Giro was an exciting race. It's pretty obvious now what they were trying to do; force Contador to go too deep to recover for the Tour. It worked, but the problem is they bought into the hype of Nibali being as good as the top contenders. They should've saved on of the two from the Giro for the Tour. Now they will end up with nothing.

So the tactic is good when it fails?

Never said it wasn't a good tactic. I said that the reason Astana didn't get piss dumped on them was because they failed.

Froome now has five teammates - plus two ahead. Oddly it looked like Roche and Porte took the 1st and 3rd mountain points.

Re: Re:

What happened is that Movistar are pleased with having Quintana wheelsucking his way to podium in Paris. Or at least keeping him (and Sky) safe until the last 4-5 km of the stage so that he can launch his "attacks" Thomas could chase down.

The way Contador has been riding, he would be far easier to beat than Froome.

Understandable, but I wouldn't gamble on that holding true in the final days. Contador looked much better on Mende. Plus, the closer he gets to GC, the greater the chance for unpredictable attacks. It is better for Nairo to keep this a 1 v 1 duel with Froome.
Quintana doesn't have a chance with a 1 vs 1 duel. He is more than 3 minutes behind.

The difference of Contador and Movistar is the difference of riding for the win vs riding for the podium.

Movistar pulling Froome? Where have we seen that before?

Disappointing. I hope Movistar will ride more sensible for the the rest of the stage (and Tour).

Its ridiculous that some people still dont unnderstand that, or they think Froome will have like 2 hunger knocks

I would be shocked if Movistar doesn't attack on the penultimate climb.

Not true, but they lack a tactical sense (like a LOT)

One well-timed attack and one jour sans and Frome could be down to 30 seconds.

2.HERRADA LOPEZ J.3pts
3.DURASEK K.2pts
4.DEGENKOLB J.1pts
Those were the point scorers

They are going to let Geschke win the stage? The guy can climb.

I do not agree it's better for Quintana to get a 1-1 with Froome. It's much better if Contador is still in the mix. In that way, Froome has to counter more attacks, and can be exposed more easily.

In case it's a 1-on-1, tactics for Froome are easier.
