Joux Plane-

If the TT at Pont Arc was 15km longer i.e. 52/55km I would be more comfortable otherwise looks to be a good GC battle.

Holy ****. Bisanne.

Wait, they go by the Signal de Bisanne?????
Is it a finish?

I think I just creamed my pants. Bisanne in the Tour is like Pico de Veleta in the Vuelta...an impossible dream that everyone knows will never happen...are you telling me it's happening?

Best route in years by the looks of it I think. I like the Pyrenees and the Culoz stage is nice too. But most of all there some descent finishes! And some potentially nice hilly stages as well.

Emosson, Saint-Gervais, Bisanne and Joux Plane for Alps is much better than I expected.

Yep, bisanne in stage 19. With 50 or so km to go.

Time bonuses will stay in Tour de France. KoM mountains classification change, penultimate passes to get double points, like a summit finish

Also a great ten year tribute to one hell of a ride.

A bit of a misuse of Bisanne really, more of a leg-breaker before the finale. But I did like the Amerands/Le Bettex combo in CdD. The toughest stage seems to be Morzine with 3 top climbs including Joux Plane.

Grand Colombier is being given a proper go it seems. It's 4 proper descent finishes and 3 MTFs. Hell, I like this one.

First time trial is a bit shortish. The second one should have little impact on the overall classification, looks easier than Emburn ITT of 2013. The route is poorly balanced once again.

If the first one was about 15km longer it would be ok.

I suppose we'll be getting the profiles soon, but can somebody confirm the climbs in the Pau-Luchon stage?

Tourmalet, Hourquette d'Ancizan, Val Louron-Azet & Peyresourde.

How many stages are there for the pure sprinters. Most of the of the "flat ones" look kinda hilly.

If that's the case, Kittel will not win anything. Cav and Griepel could get into trouble too.

WTF? No Aubisque? Not even Soulor?

Classic ASO Pyrenees then. Well it's Luchon paying for it so it's always gonna be Balés, Peyresourde or Menté. Also Pau so either Tourmalet, Aspin or Aubisque will be in. Screw it, I like it.

EDIT: It's still a 4xCat1 and above stage. Might be the hardest stage in this edition actually as there's nearly no flat between climbs.
